ARDAL NORTH WEST – OCTOBER 18 REPORTS AND TABLE

CPD Y Felinheli 0 Penmaenmawr Phoenix 1

At the eighth time of trying Penmaenmawr are off the mark.
After failing to register a win in their first seven matches since getting promoted to Ardal North West, Phoenix broke their duck on Saturday at Felinheli.
Both sides had a player red-carded on the stroke of half time – Sam Ashton for the visitors and Jack Cain of Felinheli.
The deadlock was broken just before the hour when Dan Evans found the net from a Leigh Craven assist.
Pen, whose keeper Cameron Darling stood out, held on for the points and hope this result will launch a turnaround in their fortunes.
The Cae Sling outfit lost key players from last season’s Tier 4 treble-winning squad over the summer and it has taken them a while to readjust and settle in Tier 3.
However, a few new signings has improved the state of play at the club.

Connah’s Quay Town 1 Llangefni Town 0

Quay celebrated a third straight home ;league win at the expense of third-place Llangefni on Saturday.
The only goal at Deeside Stadium came on 82 minutes when Alister Randles provided the assist and Harris Thomas applied the finish.
Cefni went unbeaten in their first seven league fixtures but have now lost two on the bounce away from home.

Llanrwst United 3 St Asaph City 0

Callum Parry made it six goals in his last four games and 11 for the season overall as Llanrwst deepened bottom side St Asaph’s misery with a 3-0 triumph at Gwydir Park.
A Daniel Williams own goal handed the Rwsters a 36th minute lead and was all that separated the teams at half time.
After the break, Parry struck on 66 and 89 minutes, Sam Thomas and sub Jonathan Richards with the assist,

Llay Welfare 1 CPD Pwllheli 0

In-form Llay made it three straight home victories without conceding a goal in the process.
Saturday’s win over Pwllheli at The Ring was secured by Jonathan Collo’s seventh goal of the season from a Scott Swords assist after 38 minutes.

NFA 2 Bethesda Athletic 0

NFA ended a run of three consecutive defeats with a pleasing two-goal home success over Bethesda at Ffordd Derwen.
It was a second win of the season for the Rhyl-based side over Pesda, having beaten them on penalties away in the Welsh Cup back in August.
After a goalless first half, a Caio Hywel own goal on 57 minutes provided the hosts with a breakthrough.
And the points were sealed on 70 when Macauley Taylor found the net, Thomas Hughes with an assist.
NFA manager Niall McGuinness was ordered from the bench on 77 minutes for a second yellow card.
Cameron Robertson of Bethesda was shown a straight red five minutes over the 90 and NFA assistant-manager Warren Adam also saw red after the game.
