Two unbeaten sides will clash at Cae Bob Parry this Sunday (October 5) when Llangefni Town welcome Rhyl side NFA.

Neither team has yet tasted defeat in the North Wales Coast Women’s League this season.

Llangefni will be out to gain a first-ever win over NFA, having lost three and drawn one of the previous four clashes.

Cefni continued their fine start to the league campaign at the weekend with a 4-1 victory at Llanystumdwy.

It was a day to remember for 18-year-old striker Amber Brown, who completed back-to-back hat-tricks for the Anglesey side.

Town overcame the notoriously tricky test posed by Llanystumdwy at their home ground, showing immense determination and fighting spirit over the full 90 minutes to secure their second straight league win.

The contest began exactly as anticipated – a scrappy, high-intensity affair with both teams fighting for midfield dominance. The deadlock was broken in the 16th minute when the home side capitalised on an opening to take the lead through Hana Wellings.

Llangefni, however, refused to buckle. Their determination paid off 20 minutes after conceding when team captain Ellie Coulson, who led by example, found the vital equaliser that settled any nerves and turned the momentum of the game.

With the first goal found, the floodgates momentarily opened. The home side barely had time to reset before Brown unleashed a devastating scoring burst.

In less than five minutes, the forward netted two quick-fire goals, completing a fantastic turnaround and putting Llangefni firmly in the driving seat.

The second half began with Llangefni introducing some fresh legs, with Milly Lowe, Carys Lock and goalkeeper Mia Gleave replacing Coulson, Marissa George and Katie Spruce.

The substitutions maintained Cefni’s high tempo and less than 10 minutes into the half, Brown struck again to make it successive trebles.

The rest of the game saw opportunities at both ends, but Llangefni’s defence stood firm, maintaining their three-goal advantage until the final whistle.
