North Wales Coast East: Seven for Sports, cup joy for Swifts and Crozzy, Penrhyn Bay win late

NORTH WALES COAST EAST LEAGUE – REPORTS, SEPTEMBER 27

DIVISION ONE

Prestatyn Sports 7 Llysfaen 3

Goal machines Sports made it 45 in SEVEN games with a magnificent seven against visitors Llysfaen at The Meadows.

Dylan Taylor (3), Ashley Garrett (2), Matty Griffiths and Lewis Eyre-Williams shared the home goals on Saturday, Steven Collins (2) and Dean Satchel replying for the away team.

It was 4-2 at half time, Llysfaen making a decent match of it before Sports built on their lead in the second period.

Rhuddlan Town 2 Penrhyn Bay 3

Phemmy Allison delivered a 92nd minute winner to clinch the points for Penrhyn Bay at Pengwern.

Captain Liam Bowers’ 14th goal of the season put Rhuddlan ahead on 29 minutes before Tom Cotterell levelled after 41.

Sub Gabriel George made it 2-1 Bay on 63, but Matthew Parsonage, a replacement for Town, looked to have earned his team a point with a 90th minute equaliser.

However, a George assist set up Allison for the decider and his fourth goal of the campaign.

COOKSON CUP

Rhos United 1 Conwy Borough Swifts 3

Adam Williams gave Rhos a 16th minute lead, but Swifts turned the tables to claim a 3-1 victory courtesy of Jacob Guy (33 and 53) and Sol Pita (82)

REM JONES CUP

Crozzy 1 CPD Henllan 1 (Crozzy won 4-2 on pens)

Crozzy triumphed 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 home draw with Henllan.

Charley Kemp gave the hosts a 14th minute lead before sub Shaun Davies equalised on 76 via a Francis Roberts assist.

Honourable mention to Brandon Roberts who made three penalty saves for the home side, dislocating his shoulder in the process. All wish him a speedy recovery.

Crozzy now take on Llysfaen in the next round of the Division One league cup.
