Radnor Valley 2 Llangollen Town 0

Radnor Valley returned to winning ways with a two-goal victory over Llangollen at The Bypass, reports Stuart Townsend.
Winless in their last three league outings, the Goats were looking to respond against opponents yet to record an Ardal NE win this season, before entertaining leaders CPD Llanuwchllyn next weekend.
The New Radnor club broke the deadlock in the 26th minute when Henry Shipley’s free-kick into the penalty area was converted by Ieuan Price at the far post.
Adam Jones’ charges doubled their advantage in the penultimate minute of the opening half when Price’s 25 yard free-kick thundered back off the crossbar and former Knighton Town forward Sam Sainsbury was on hand to turn the rebound past Ben Lloyd in the Llangollen goal.
The visitors came close to having the deficit in the 65th minute but Otto Jones in the Goats’ goal made a fine save to turn a shot from Kevin Day behind for a corner after driving into the penalty area.
Aaron Jones’ header from a 95th minute free-kick into the penalty area clipped the top of the crossbar, but Radnor managed to see the game out and collect three valuable points.
