After five months away from their beloved Central Park, Denbigh Town Football Club are coming home this weekend.
Not since April 4, when Town defeated Llay Miners Welfare 5-0 in their final home game of 2024-25, have the Vale of Clwyd club competed on the hallowed turf.
In the meantime, Denbigh have played ‘home’ matches at Maes Tegid, Bala and Colwyn Bay’s Blue Turtle Arena.
However, after several months of redevelopment work at Central Park, the club and its supporters will return to a transformed ground this Friday, when Buckley Town are the visitors for a JD Cymru North contest.
After many months away from home, Denbigh Town Football Club is finally returning to Central Park.
Our ground has been transformed through an ambitious redevelopment project, and now, as we prepare to step back onto the pitch where generations of supporters have gathered, we want you to be part of that special moment.
The first game back at Central Park gets underway this Friday (September 5th) against Buckley Town at 19:45. It will be more than just a football match; it’ll be a celebration of our town, our community, and the hard work of countless people who have made it possible. Nothing would mean more than to see the stands filled once again with familiar faces, local families, and new supporters joining us for the first time.
Whilst work is still ongoing, and not everything is in place just yet, this is still a historic day. Friday will see the changing rooms used for the first time at a stadium totally transformed since breaking ground over a year ago. This is a unique chance to watch the ground change over the course of the next few weeks as we continue to add new facilities and put together the finishing touches.
This is your club as much as it is ours. Central Park has always been a place where memories are made, where young fans take their first steps into the world of football, and where the pride of our town is shown on and off the pitch. As we come home, we invite every one of you – from life-long followers to those curious to see what Denbigh Town is all about – to come and share in this new chapter.
Together, let’s mark our return in style. Bring your friends, bring your families, bring your voices and let’s make our first game back a day to remember for Denbigh and the whole of the Vale of Clwyd.
We can’t wait to welcome you home.
