Kinmel Bay booked their place in the Coast Challenge Cup semi-finals with a hard-fought 2–0 victory over CPDM Llanystumdwy,
The game was evenly contested throughout, with both sides battling hard in midfield and creating chances.
However, it was Kinmel Bay who broke the deadlock in the 31st minute when Natasha Standing’s corner delivery curled directly into the net, leaving the Llanystumdwy goalkeeper helpless.
Llanystumdwy pushed for an equaliser in the second half, testing Kinmel Bay’s defence, but the home side remained disciplined and resilient.
Just as it looked like the match would finish 1-0, Kinmel sealed the result deep into stoppage time.
Skipper Seren Williams showed great composure to pick out Lexi Walsh, who calmly slotted home in the 90+3 minute, sparking celebrations from the Bay supporters.
It was a well-fought contest with little to separate the teams, but Kinmel Bay’s extra edge in key moments proved decisive.

Debutant Ffion Thomas scored twice for a Bangor side which earned a hard-fought victory over Tier 3 champions Pwllheli.
The visitors led 1-0 at the break, Lois Thomas on target from a Jini Owen Hughes assist in the 35th minute.
After the break, the hosts upped their game and were level within four minutes of the restart when Menna Evans finished from a Holly Owen-Roberts corner.
Pwllheli went back in front on the hour when Thomas turned provider for Sian Moore to make it 2-1.
In the 63rd minute, Bangor won a penalty which Ffion Thomas converted and the former Llangefni winger grabbed the winner on 75.
Jasmin Dutton notched a hat-trick for a dominant Llandudno side who advanced to the last four at the expense of a young Henllan outfit.
New signing Hannah Owen took just two minutes to open her account for the Seasiders from an Angharad Jones assist.
Erin Doran set up Dutton to make it 2-0 after six minutes, then Owen turned supplier as Maddie Williams added a third on 23.
Kelsey Davies grabbed a fourth after 27, Williams teeing her up, and Dutton made it 5-0 from the penalty spot just after the half-hour.
Angharad Jones made the scoresheet before the break, Amelia Mercer assisting.
Half time 6-0 and the tie was over.
Llandudno took the opportunity to give debuts to new signings Jess Mills and Seren Kerfoot-Robson for the second half.
Dutton completed her treble on 65 minutes, Maddie Williams with the assist, and the roles were soon reversed when Williams made it eight.
Henllan battled well and were worthy of a 69th minute consolation goal through Ella Simcox.
Catrin George gave Llangefni an early lead, but Tier 2 visitors Felinheli turned the tables to win this tie courtesy of net-finders from Llywela Edwards, new recruit Anna Jones and young talent Rubie Davies.
Jones and Davies also supplied an assist apiece.
Victory for Airbus in their first game in the newly-formed Central Wales North Ladies Football League.
