Two exciting transfers have just taken place on the North Wales football scene.
Hold made the perfect impact on his debut for Prestatyn on Friday night, providing the assist for Zebb Edwards’ headed equaliser in a 2-2 draw at NFA.
That result protected Town’s early unbeaten record in Ardal North West and adding Hold to the squad will certainly boost their chances of keeping it.
The former Welsh Colleges player began his senior football career as a teenager with Llandudno Junction and Conwy Borough during the 2016-17 season.
In 2017-18 he signed for Llandudno Albion and began a memorable five-season association with the club.
Between his debut campaign and 2022-23, when Albion sadly disbanded, Adam netted a total of 42 goals, finishing top-scorer for the club with 15 in that final season.
He also had a very productive spell around that time with all-conquering Rhyl and District Sunday League side FC Mally of Llandudno Junction.
At the start of 2023-24, Adam joined CPD Y Rhyl 1879, scoring eight goals in 21 matches – netting in each round of the FAW Amateur Trophy the Lilywhites played in – before returning to Conwy in February where he saw out the campaign.
Last season saw Adam sign for Penmaenmawr Phoenix, where he played a key role in the Cae Sling club winning an unprecedented treble of North Wales Coast East Premier Division title, NWCFA Intermediate Cup and Cookson Cup.
The left-winger scored 34 goals in 38 matches across all competitions, including 23 from 25 league outings.
He played in five matches for Phoenix this season, scoring three goals, before deciding on a move to Prestatyn.
His career goals total is believed to be 99 (confirmation awaited)!
This 19-year-old prospect is a great capture for Cymru North club Flint Mountain.
Flynn showed his capabilities in three appearances for CPD Y Rhyl 1879 this season, especially on debut where he played a major role in his team getting a 0-0 draw with Brickfield Rangers in the Lilywhites’ first Tier 2 encounter.
The young keeper began his football journey in Australia with Brisbane Roar’s youth academy, where he developed into a confident and modern shot-stopper. Since returning to the UK, he has featured for FC United of Manchester, Atherton LR and Charnock Richard, gaining valuable experience across competitive levels, before joining brothers Dylan and Calum at Rhyl.
A natural sweeper keeper known for his sharp distribution and strong communication, Flynn is not only a last line of defence but also a crucial part of building play from the back.
With Flint Mountain having experienced a tough start to 2025-26, Flynn’s skills could prove vital in the weeks ahead as the Bastion Gardens tenants aim to steady the ship.
Flynn is one of seven children. Two of his brothers, Dylan and Calum, have also played for Rhyl 1879 but recently left the club.
Calum has been joined by his brother at Flint Mountain while Dylan, who scored 31 goals in 28 games for Ardal North West title winners 1879 last season, is now with Llandudno of the Cymru North.
