After four inspirational seasons with CPD Y Rhyl 1879, midfield taliswoman Becca Eagles has decided to join fellow Adran North club Flint Town United for the 2025-26 campaign.
Better known under her maiden name Bannister, Becca married fellow footballer Hana Eagles in June and is now ready for the next challenge in a sport where she has excelled for many years.
The 26-year-old, affectionately nicknamed Boo, played for Prestatyn Girls from under-10’s through to U16’s, then Everton Girls Centre of Excellence before joining Rhyl Ladies in the Welsh Premier.
She was part of the Prestatyn Girls Under-16 side which won the Welsh Cup in 2015, beating Coed Du Dragons 4-0 in the final at Newtown.
Becca is also a Wales international, having been capped for her country at under-15 and U-17 levels.
She joined NFA in 2019-20 before switching to another new team, Connah’s Quay Nomads, that same season.
Becca scored in the Nomads’ famous 2-1 win over Welsh Premier side Port Talbot in the Welsh Cup and helped the Deesiders finish runners-up in North Wales League Division Two, where they went unbeaten in a shortened campaign due to Covid.
After the 2020-21 season was scrapped because of the pandemic, Becca joined newly-formed CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in 2021-22.
Her first season with the Lilywhites was an amazing success as the team was crowned North Wales League champions with an 18-game unbeaten record. Becca netted 17 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions.
For the past three seasons, the midfielder has represented 1879 in the tier 2 Genero Adran North, although last term in particular, her appearances have been limited due to injury.
Nonetheless, since joining Rhyl 1879, Becca has a brilliant record of 65 appearances, 32 goals.
She is best renowned for her strong tackling, exquisite passing and ability to score from long range as well as excelling from set-pieces.
