Colwyn Bay are through to the Welsh Cricket Cup semi-finals, but Brymbo are out.
Bay, winners in 2015 and 2023, thrashed South Wales visitors Ammanford by 156 runs at Penrhyn Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
However, Brymbo, the only North Wales club to win the national knockout three times, slumped at home to Pontardawe.
Dan Russell hit a magnificent club best 111 not out as hosts Bay romped to a thumping victory over visitors Ammanford.
Russell, aged just 17, produced his maiden first team century and achieved the second highest score of his career in a marvellous 115-ball knock which included 17 fours and a six. The young opener has represented Lancashire Under-16s.
Bay won the toss and elected to bat, smashing 280-5 off 40 overs, Sion Morris (66) putting on 143 with Russell for the first wicket. Sagar Trivedi added 40 for the home side.
Ammanford were then dismissed for just 124 in 24.1 overs, Trivedi 3-24, Matt Russell 3-33 and Jack Parry 2-26.
Put into bat, Brymbo’s total of 143 all out was never likely to be enough to see off South Wales Premier Division travellers Pontardduais.
Johanes Barnard top-scored with 38 for the Steelmen, James Claybrook adding 26, Richard Grant 3-34 for Pont.
In reply, the South Walians were in trouble at 56-4, but managed to gather enough runs to reach 144-6 in the 32nd over, Wales star and former Gloucestershite right-hander Cam Herring the highest contributor with 41.
Dan Parry picked up 2-23 and Richard Deniz 2-32 for the home side, who went top of the North Wales League Premier Division 24 hours earlier, but could not make it a perfect weekend.
