CRICKET: Brymbo and Colwyn Bay in Welsh Cup quarter-final action this weekend

Colwyn Bay were the last North Wales winners of the Welsh Cricket Cup in 2023

North Wales’ two most successful clubs in the Welsh Cricket Cup have home quarter finals coming up in the 2025 competition this weekend.

Three-time winners Brymbo entertain Pontarddulais, while twice-champions Colwyn Bay host Ammanford.

Both matches take place on Sunday, 1 pm starts.

Brymbo lifted the cup in 1987, 1988 and 1992, while Bay’s successes came much more recently in 2015 and 2023.

Both Pontarddulais and Ammanford compete in South Wales Premier Cricket League Division One.

Pont have won the Welsh Cup twice, while Ammanford have four triumphs to their name.
