CPDM Y Felinheli exciting new signing Anna Jones says she felt the time was right to return to North Wales football.
The 30-year-old midfielder has spent the past five years in the English pyramid with Chester and Tranmere Rovers, but is now back in Gogledd Cymru with the club where it all started.
Anna’s first-ever team was Bethel, who changed their name to Felinheli in the present decade.
She went on to play for Caernarfon Town and Llandudno in the Welsh Premier League before joining Chester in 2020.
“I’ve always known that I would return to North Wales football and this season feels like the right time to do it,” said Anna.
“My time playing in the English pyramid has been brilliant. I enjoyed the challenge of competing at that level with Tranmere, there’s a lot of talented players in that league which makes it very competitive.
“Being local to Y Felinheli, they have always been on my radar and I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about them recently. They are an appealing club to be a part of, it’s a very welcoming and positive environment and I believe I will fit in well there.
“I’m looking forward to playing in the Adran North. It will be a new experience with a lot of familiar faces and I’m hoping to help Felinheli in any way possible to have another successful season.”
