New season, new club for this gifted 21-year-old striker.
Bentley began his senior career at Holyhead Town, playing for the reserve side as a 16-year-old in 2019-20, and by 2021-22 he was a first team regular, pocketing 17 goals in his first season.
After just four more games with the Harbourmen in 2022-23, Bentley signed for Trearddur Bay, where he scored 17 times in a North Wales Coast West Division One unbeaten title-winning team.
Then came a phenomenal effort at Gwalchmai in 2023-24, where he banged in 40 goals in 33 games, including a stunner in a 3-1 win over Penrhyndeudraeth in the NWCFA Intermediate Cup Final.
He made a brief return to tier 3 Trearddur Bay last season before ending the campaign back at Gwalchmai.

Jack Davies (CPD Llansannan to Meliden)

Good signing by Meliden of a winger whose CV includes extensive tier 3 experience with the likes of St Asaph City and CPD Y Rhyl 1879, as well as wearing the shirts of Llannefydd and Llansannan in tier 4.
Made 19 appearances for Rhyl 1879 in their first season as an Ardal North West club in 2022-23, scoring on his debut in a 4-2 win over Rhostyllen.
Signed for Saints in 2023-24, their first season back in Ardal North West. He netted on debut in a North Wales record 18-0 Welsh Cup win over Rhyl Dragons and appeared in 17 league matches.
Last season, he pocketed 13 goals in 18 matches for North Wales Coast East Premier Division side Llansannan, including back-to-back hat-tricks.
Meliden manager Dan Sleet said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Jack to the club, he’s a great signing for us. He has a lot of experience playing in Tier 3, he’s a top player and a good lad too, he ticks all the important boxes.
“I’m pleased we’ve been able to attract Jack to the club and it shows the path we’re on to progress this football club.”

Oliver Farebrother (Prestatyn Town to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Keeper leaves the Seasiders before playing a competitive game for them – instead commiting to Cymru North newcomers CPD Y Rhyl 1879 for 2025-26.
Farebrother is a 25-year-old shot stopper who made the 2024-25 Ardal North West Team of the Season.
Was a key member of a Porthmadog side which won the Ardal North League Cup and finished third in Ardal NW last term.
Joined Port in January 2024 and made 52 appearances for the club.
Previously with Chirk AAA, Penrhyncoch and Bow Street.

Lewis James (CPD Yr Wyddgrug to Connah’s Quay Town)

Big chance for a player who scored 32 goals in 28 matches at tier 5 level last season to prove himself in tier 3 with Connah’s Quay Town.
James’ total would have been higher had he not lost goals last term due to Deeside United’s very late withdrawal from the North East Wales Championship and their results being expunged.
Town manager Gary McConnell is delighted to get him on board.
“Another great signing for us,” said McConnell. “Lewis is a player I had my eye on since accepting the role back in March.
“He continued his fine goalscoring form in pre-season and really impressed the coaching team.”

Kieron Day (Mynydd Isa to Greenfield)

Midfielder, aged 21, who will add energy and strength to the middle of the park for tier 4 club Greenfield.
Day was part of the Mynydd Isa squad which won the North East Wales League Premier Division title last season, making 18 appearances.
He began 2024-25 with a brief spell at Corwen and before that represented Caerwys and Rhydymwyn, having been a product of the Flint Town United Academy.

Matt Gilsenan (to Greenfield)

Formerly with Rhydymwyn, Caerwys and Corwen before last season joining CPD Gronant, who resigned from the North East Wales League this summer.
Has now put pen to paper for Greenfield, where he has impressed with his work-rate and abilities during pre-season.
Made 29 appearances for Rhydymwyn’s first team in 2021-22, scoring six goals, before joining Caerwys early in 2022-23, where he netted 19 times in 19 games for the North East Wales Championship Division side.
Continued to impress for Caerwys at the start of 2023-24, scoring eight goals in his first six matches and hit 11 in 18 overall before signing for Corwen in February 2024.
Made nine appearances for the North East Wales Premier Division champions and remained at the club for a short time in 2024-25 prior to switching to Gronant, where he played in nine games and grabbed four goals.

Harvey Drazdauskas (Mold Alexandra to Flint Mountain)

One of a large number of new signings made by Flint Mountain for the 2025-26 campaign.
Nineteen-year-old prospect who developed with Deeside Dragons and Flint Town United, for whom he made a brief Cymru Premier League debut in 2022-23.
Helped Flint reach the FAW Youth Cup semi-finals in 2022-23 and 2023-24, also impressing for the Silkmen’s Development side before stepping up to the Cymru North, where he represented Mold Alexandra last season, making four first team sub appearances, then switched to Ardal North West club St Asaph City in September.
After seven outings for Saints’ first team, scoring once, Harvey returned to Mold and played the season out in the reserves.
Made Mountain debut in Friday’s 3-1 Nathaniel MG Cup loss to Denbigh Town.

Charlie Smith (to Flint Mountain)

Centre midfielder, aged 19, who played for Prestatyn Town last season, mainly in the reserves but did feature in nine Cymru North games.
Scored 12 goals in 21 outings for Colwyn Bay’s Development side in 2023-24.
Also developed through Llandudno, Flint Town United and Prestatyn Town academy systems.

Joey Hughes (Saltney Town to Flint Mountain)

Right-wing or central midfielder who turned out for Saltney Town in tier 4 last season.
Was also with the Bordermen in 2022-23 and 2023-24 and prior to that played for Rhydymwyn and Flint Town United’s youth sides.

Tyler Berry (Connah’s Quay Nomads to Mold Alex – loan)

Talented youngster, aged 19, who joins Mold on loan from Connah’s Quay Nomads, where he clocked up 17 first team appearances last season and scored four goals.
A standout talent for Nomads’ Under-18 side, netting 19 goals in 16 matches in 2023-24 for a team crowned champions of the FAW Reserve League North Tier 1-2.
Originally emerged through Llandudno FC’s junior ranks.
Tyler said: “I’m ready to show what I’m about and gain that experience I need in the game.”

Charlie Davies (Airbus UK Broughton to Mold Alexandra)

Started last season with Mold, moved to Airbus UK Broughton in January, but now returns to Alyn Park.
Progressed with Hawarden Rangers Under-16s and Connah’s Quay Nomads U18s before joining Mold at the start of 2023-24.
Has made 42 first team appearances for The Alex, so is familiar with the demands of Cymru North football.
Charlie said: ‘It’s great to be back at Mold where I’ve had experience playing here for 18 months previously.”

Luke Edwards (to Mold Alex)

Experienced player who was a regular in the Holywell Town sides of 2019-20 and 2021-22.
Was a key member of the Wellmen squad which won the Welsh National League Premier Division title in the shortened 2019-20 season, scoring six goals in 17 matches.
Known for his energy, discipline and leadership, Luke brings valuable experience from both the Welsh and English football tiers – an asset to a young and ambitious squad at Mold.

James Harrison (to Llandyrnog United)

Defender returns to Llandyrnog after spending last season with the now disbanded Rhyl Albion.
Made 19 appearances for Dyrny in 2023-24, scoring in a 3-2 win over Abergele.
Previously had spells with Caer Clwyd, Bow and CPD Gronant – all of whom have folded now.
Hope Llandyrnog stay around for you a bit longer Michael!
Dyrny manager Sion Morris said: “Really pleased to announce James Harrison has rejoined the club following a season at Rhyl Albion.
“Jimbo doesn’t need much of an introduction, he’s a solid centre back with great leadership qualities on and off the pitch.
“Another great signing for us and will be important in any success we have this season.”

Sam Jones (to Llandyrnog United)

Another pre-season addition to Llandyrnog United’s growing squad.
Scored 12 goals for Rhyl Albion last season between the first team and development sides and wore the shirt of St Asaph City the previous campaign.
Llandyrnog manager Sion Morris said: “I heard how well Sam was doing at Rhyl Albion last season and knew he was someone we needed to have a look at.
“He’s been a big standout for us in both of the pre-season games he’s played so far and bagged our first against Ruthin Reserves on Tuesday night.
“We had a lot of competition from the top teams in both Tiers 4 and 5 for his signature and I’m pleased that he’s decided to join us.”

Cai Evans (Menai Bridge Tigers to Bethesda Athletic)

Young talent hoping to make his mark in tier 3 with Bethesda Athletic this season.
Made 21 appearances for Menai Bridge Tigers in Ardal North West last term having spent the previous campaign at Bethesda Rovers.
A product of Wrexham AFC’s youth system, Cai is a left-sided defender.
Athletic manager Mark Hughes said: “Cai is someone who has a good pedigree having completed a scholarship at Wrexham.
“Technically he’s good on the ball and composed. I think he’s got a point to almost prove to himself and my intention is to give him the right environment so that he can enjoy playing again and ultimately fulfil that undoubted potential which he has.”

Louie Turner (Bethesda Rovers to Bethesda Athletic)

Versatile player, can play midfield or as a forward.
Turner netted eight goals in 19 matches for Bethesda Rovers last season and Athletic manager Mark Hughes feels the time is right for him to step up in standard.
“Louie is someone who many involved in youth football have previously recommended to me. I think now is the ideal time for him to step up, he’s raw which I like in the sense he plays without fear.

We needed another to come in and provide competition in midfield, which is fierce, but from what I’ve seen thus far he’ll offer something different.”

Josh Clift (to Llysfaen)

Second Clift joins the Faen as Ben’s brother Josh signs up for the tier 5 club.
Technically very good on the ball, could be a player well worth watching as the season progresses.

Thomas Sharples (to Llysfaen)

Has the attributes to become a quality young goalkeeper. Not long turned 16 and now takes his first step into adult football.

Dominic McGiveron (to Bala Town)

Midfielder McGiveron joins the Lakesiders on a one-year contract, bringing a wealth of experience from his playing career to date.

McGiveron next signed a professional contract with the Kitsap Pumas in the United States. He later returned to England, playing for Morecambe FC’s Development Squad before moving abroad to play in Finland and Norway. Notably, he had a successful stint in Sweden, winning the league with Piteå IF.
Last season he played for Widnes FC and was a league champion again, this time of the Northern Premier League West.

Alister Randles (Llangollen Town to Connah’s Quay Town)

Proven goalscorer in past seasons with Penyffordd Lions and Castell Alun Colts in tier 4 now tests his skills in Ardal North West with Connah’s Quay Town.

Town manager Gary McConnell said: “Alister has really impressed us, he is physically fit and works extremely hard. He has a good eye for goal and makes good decisions; we are really looking forward to working with him.”

Jacob Tarasenko (to Bala Town)

Australian forward Tarasenko lands at Maes Tegid ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 28-year-old striker arrives from the Dominican Republic, where he played for Atlántico FC in the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol.
A dual Australian-Croatian national, Tarasenko brings international experience and a goal-scoring pedigree to Cymru Premier Bala, having also featured for clubs in Australia and Croatia, namely Dinamo Zagreb.
Jacob has already got off to a great start to life with the Lakesiders, having impressed in all pre-season friendlies.

Mohamud Ali (Llandudno to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Commanding central defender Mohamud Ali has joined the Lilywhites.
Ali arrives with a wealth of experience, having previously played for Curzon Ashton, Southport and most recently Llandudno. His footballing journey began in the Netherlands, where he developed his game at youth level, laying the foundations for a career built on intelligence, composure and defensive awareness.
A natural leader at the back, Mohamud’s ability to read the game is one of his standout attributes. Off the pitch, he works as a driving instructor.

Ahmed Ibrahim (to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Dynamic full-back/wing-back Ahmed Ibrahim will bring pace, power and quality to the Cymru North newcomers this season.
Ahmed’s football journey has taken him through a number of well-respected clubs including Squires Gate, Mold, Prestatyn, Glossop North End and 1874 Northwich. His early development came through the youth setups at Tranmere Rovers U18 and Macclesfield U21, where he honed his technical ability and defensive awareness.
A modern full-back with a relentless engine, Ahmed is known for his athleticism, 1v1 defending, sharp passing and dangerous deliveries from wide areas. His style is built for high-tempo football, and he’s excited to bring that energy to Rhyl’s attacking play.
