Chris Taylor struck a season’s best 132 not out

Chris Taylor passed 1,000 league runs for the season with a cracking century in Brymbo’s nine-wicket thrashing of Gwersyllt Park.
The hosts won the toss and batted, posting 226-7 off 50 overs, Jack Billington 54 not out, Kastun Stoute 46, Thomas Hooson 45 and Iroshan De Silva 36, Jack Williams taking 3-54 and Dikshant Vairagi 2-34 off 10 for the visitors.
Brymbo stormed to 228-1 off 37.1, Taylor’s 132 not out – his highest score of the season – including 19 fours and a six. Taylor put on 135 for the opening wicket with Sam Aplin (43), while Vairagi ended 41 not out.
The victory keeps the Steelmen in second spot, 12 points behind leaders St Asaph.

Bangor 1st XI (1) 130-7 St Asaph 1st XI (18) 132-1

Unbeaten leaders St Asaph eased to victory in a contest reduced to 25 overs per side due to the weather.
Bangor chose to bat and were limited to 130-7, Nathaniel Scott 34, Dan Evans snaring 4-44 and Robbie Prior 2-35 for Saints, who then cruised to 132-1 off 18.3, birthday boy Matty Ryan 44 not out, Kyle Williams 44 no and Will Norman 43.

Mochdre 1st XI (18) 253-6 Menai Bridge 1st XI (5) 156-10

Joe Chaplin in batting action for Mochdre

Joe Chaplin claimed a career-best 5-40 as Mochdre trounced Menai Bridge by 97 runs at Blackmarsh Road.
Winning the toss and batting, Mochdre were struggling on 100-5 before a sixth-wicket stand of 121 between Sam Davies (65) and James French (61 not out) turned the game.
The hosts ended on 253-6, opener Matty Humphreys adding 46, Liam Bibby an excellent 2-20 off 10 for the islanders.
Chaplin then grabbed his five-four as Bridge were sent packing for 156, skipper Robbie Jones a defiant 58 not out, Owen Davies also picking up an impressive 3-16 for the winners.

Mold 1st XI (9) 260-10 Denbigh 1st XI (18) 281-8

Ranija Abeysinghe recorded a maiden century and career highest 134 not out in his team Denbigh’s high-scoring triumph at Chester Road.
Opener Abeysinghe’s 129-ball effort included 20 fours and he shared in a second-wicket stand of 131 with Sam Lewis (50) as the visitors amassed 281-8 off 50 overs.
Shaun Nash added 36, while for Mold, paceman Munowar Samsodien bagged 4-47 and Jon Crane 2-21.
Mold made a great go of it in reply to reach a winning target of 282, but finished 22 short on 260 all out.
David Graham made 54 and skipper Ewan Hill 42, Sam Lewis collecting 3-52 and Ieuan Jones 2-48 for Denbigh.

Northop 1st XI (18) 308-9 Hawarden Park 1st XI (5) 156-10

Northop’s imposing total of 308-9 was never going to deliver them anything other than victory over the bottom side.
Richard Walker (69), Ikjot Thind (52), Ben Beaver (51 not out) and Henry Dowd (38) helped the hosts post the biggest score of the day in the Premier.
Evan Shaw pocketed 3-50 and Jac Williams 2-34 for Hawarden, who were all back in the pavilion for 156, Jacob Duker 58.
Beaver took 3-24, Evan Collett 2-20 and Matthew Mullarkey 2-28 for the hosts.
