Wales NC North cruised to a nine-wicket victory over an MCC XI at Menai Bridge Cricket Club on Sunday.
The visitors, with one of two well-known North Wales names included, won the toss, batted and were bowled out for 176 in 38.3 overs.
A fine all-round bowling effort from North Wales saw Colwyn Bay’s Matt Russell pick up 3-26 and Joe Norman of Brymbo snare 3-27.
There was also a victim apiece for Jack Williams, Sam Aplin and Harrison Jones.
In reply, the North Wales batsmen were on fire, getting to a winning 180-1 in just 25.3 overs.
Fresh from a couple of great performances in the T20 league for Denbigh on Saturday, skipper Harrison Jones struck 51 not out off 31 balls, including five sixes and four fours.
Jack Gower of Menai Bridge retired not out on 50, Brymbo’s Aplin made 47 and Nathanael Scott ended on 22 no, sharing an unbroken stand of 76 with Jones.
