Wales NC North cruised to a nine-wicket victory over an MCC XI at Menai Bridge Cricket Club on Sunday.

The visitors, with one of two well-known North Wales names included, won the toss, batted and were bowled out for 176 in 38.3 overs.

A fine all-round bowling effort from North Wales saw Colwyn Bay’s Matt Russell pick up 3-26 and Joe Norman of Brymbo snare 3-27.

There was also a victim apiece for Jack Williams, Sam Aplin and Harrison Jones.
