Goal machine Dion Jones has signed for Llangefni Town

Dion Jones (Gwalchmai to Llangefni Town)

An exciting attacker, Jones joins tier 3 Ardal North West side Llangefni Town from Gwalchmai.
The teenage hotshot first made his mark with Gaerwen Juniors Under-15s. netting a phenomenal 61 goals in the 2021-22 season.
In 2022-23, he amassed another 35 goals for Gaerwen Under-16s and 17s.
The start of 2023-24 saw Jones make his senior debut with CPD Cefni, for whom he found the net 22 times over the campaign.
He remained at Cefni at the beginning of 2024-25, scoring another 14 goals before Gwalchmai signed him in January 2025.
Jones bagged 11 goals for Gwalch, who finished runners-up in the tier 4 North Wales Coast West Premier, making it 25 senior goals in all over the season.
This 18-year-old sensatiion will now test his skills a notch higher in the pyramid with Llangefni in 2025-26. Dion’s dad, Hugh Alan Jones, played for Cefni last season and his uncle Graham Jones (Squeez) managed the same team.

Cieran Williams (Llandudno to Llanrwst United)

Exciting signing whose pre-season goalscoring form for Llanrwst has earned him a transfer to the Tier 3 Ardal North West club.
Last season the 18-year-old netted 12 times in 19 games for a Llandudno side which won the FAW Reserve League North West title. He also made nine first team appearances for Tudno’s Cymru North team.
The season before he produce identical stats for the reserves – 19 matches, 12 goals.
Product of the Llandudno FC Academy and one to watch in 2025-26.

Zack Clarke (TNS to Caernarfon Town – season-long loan)

Striker Clarke is back at The Oval on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old left Caernarfon and signed for The New Saints in January 2025, helping the full-timers lift a 17th successive Cymru Premier title.
Saints added the Welsh Cup and Nathaniel MG Cup to make it a treble, but Clarke remained on the bench for both finals.
Clarke now returns to Caernarfon, who he joined at the start of 2023-24 and went on to score 21 goals in 59 appearances in all competitons.
He netted in the 3-1 play-off final victory over Penybont in May 2024 which sealed the Cofis a first-ever European adventure.
Clarke went on to score in the 2-0 Uefa Conference League win against Crusaders of Northern Ireland which set up an eventual penalties success versus the Belfast side after the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate. Clarke then featured in both legs of the qualifying round two clash with Polish giants Legia Warsaw.
Prior to joining Caernarfon, Clarke had a stint with Flint Town United in the Cymru Premier which ended in relegation.
Clarke has also played for Chester FC as well as having loan spells with Atherton Collieries, Clitheroe and Leek Town.
His arrival at The Oval will considerably soften the blow of the Canaries’ star striker from last season Louis Lloyd moving to St Johnstone of the Scottish Championship.

Andrew Jones (Gwalchmai to CPD Aberffraw)

Defender who was last at Aberffraw in the 2021-22 seasom, having been with the club for some time before that.
Joined Llangefni Town in 2022-23 and has spent the last two seasons with Gwalchmai, winning the NWCFA intermediate Cup in 2023-24.and making 59 appearances for the Maes Meurig outfit.

Cai Roberts (Llangefni Town to CPD Aberffraw)

Seventeen-year-old prospect whose talents have developed at the Llandudno Academy, Amlwch Town Juniors and Llangefni Town Under-17s in recent seasons.
Also made a couple of brief substitute appearances for Llangefni’s first team last season.

Lewis Owen (Glantraeth to CPD Aberffraw)

Just 21, but has plenty of experience playing for CPD Gaerwen, Gwalchmai, Llangefni Town Reserves and his most recent club Glantraeth.
Won the Cwpan Snowdonia Fire and Security Cup with Gwalchmai in 2022-23.

Tom Innes (to CPD Aberffraw)

Last played regularly in the 2021-22 season for tier 5 club Bodorgan, making 24 appearances during that campaign.

Mitchell Jones (Menai Bridge Tigers to Llangoed)

After a brief stay with Menai Bridge Tigers last season, Jones returns to Llangoed, where he has spent most of his career.
Has made over 300 apperances since his first game for The Puffins at 16 years old. This will be the 35-year-old’s 14th and last season in Llangoed colours, the club reports.

Isaac Carey (to Mold Alexandra)

Played in tier 4 for Bow FC last season, but now comes a considerable side in standard for this 19-year-old attacking midfielder with Mold Alexandra of the JD Cymru North.
Other former clubs include Conwy Borough, St Asaph City and Llandudno, where he progressed through the academy.
Mold manager Barry Owen: “Isaac is technically brilliant, comfortable with both feet. He’s an attacking midfielder that will score goals for us. He’s the right age and profile of player that we want at the club. I’m really happy to work with him again.”

Llion Feaver (to Bethesda Rovers)

Rovers’ sixth signing of pre-season.
Ioined the tier 5 club for pre season training and has impressed the management. Llion can play in midfield as well as at centre back.
A club spokesman said: “Having played two games for us now and having had a few training sessions under his belt he’s proven he’s an exciting player and he showed that again in our 5-1 over Llysfaen on Saturday where he managed to get on the score sheet for us. We’re thrilled to have him sign with us.”

Luke Snape (Glan Conwy to Bethesda Rovers)

Has played for a number of clubs in recent seasons, including Glan Conwy, Llanrwst United, Betws-y-Coed, Arriva and Bro Cernyw.
His new club Rovers describe him as a striker who guarantees goals.
A spokesman said: “Luke is a player we’ve been chasing for a while now. He’s a striker who guarantees goals. We saw glimpses of what he’s capable of in Saturday’s 5-1 friendly win over Llysfaen where he scored and was a constant threat in the final third.
“His constant pressing makes him hard to play against and he has all the attributes you need in a striker. In his last stint in tier 5 in the 2023/24 season he scored 9 goals and provided 1 assist in just 13 games. We look forward to having him with us this season.”

Cian Evans (to Mochdre Sports)

Having played for Llay Welfare and Llandudno in the tier 2 Cymru North, as well as Conwy Borough in Ardal North West, someone of Evans’ experience is a great capture for fourth-tier Mochdre.
Sports needed no second invitation to sign this combative central midfielder, aged just 19.

Ben Roberts (to Llysfaen)

Experienced defender lands at the Banana Pitch.
A Llysfaen FC spokesman said: “Thrilled to have finally capture the signature of Benji. Ben is a old school no-nonsense type of defender who will put his body on the line for his team-mates. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the game which we could clearly see in the 2 pre season games he has played. We are excited to see what he can bring to the club.”

Alfie Yates (to Llysfaen)

Formerly with Bow and NFA, Yates now commits to Llysfaen for the 2025-26 season.
Llysfaen FC said: “A quiet lad with bags of ability who has impressed the management team from day 1 in training and impressed on his debut in the victory over Skippy.
“His performances earned him a start in the following 2 games and has shown there is a real player there. Technically sound with the ball at his feet, he’s calm when under pressure and willing to drive the team forward from deep.”

Paul Vinall (to Llysfaen)

Last played in the 2021-22 season for NFA when they were a tier 5 team and before that had a spell with Llandudno Amateurs.
Experienced player, aged 37, and warmly welcomed by the Llysfaen management.
“Delighted to get Vinall on board after a couple of years absence from the game following spells with NFA and Llandudno Amateurs.
“Paul has a great understanding of the game and is a technically skillful player capable of the outrageous as he showed on his debut, leaving 3 players on their backsides to put into an empty net. A great addition to the Faen.”

James Stead (Prestatyn Town to Holywell Town)

Vastly experienced 31-year-old lands a really good move to Cymru North regular high-flyers Holywell.
Played in tier 2 for Prestatyn Town last season, having also won the Cymru North title with the Seasiders back in 2019-20.
Has previously had spells with NFA, CPD Y Rhyl 1879, Caernarfon Town and the former Rhyl FC.
Stead has also played Welsh Premier football in the past for Prestatyn Town, making 55 top-flight appearances between 2013-14 and 2017-18.
A composed and intelligent midfielder who excels from free kicks and other set-piece situations, Stead brings quality on the ball and will add depth to the Wellmen’s options in the middle of the park.

Flynn Proctor (to CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

Goalkeeper Flynn Proctor is the latest addition to the CPD Y Rhyl 1879 Cymru North squad.
He joins his already established brothers Dylan and Calum at the Hops and Barley Community Stadium.
Flynn began his football journey in Australia with Brisbane Roar’s youth academy.
Since returning to the UK, he has featured for FC United of Manchester, Atherton LR and Charnock Richard, gaining valuable experience across competitive levels.
A natural sweeper keeper known for his sharp distribution and strong communication, Flynn is not only a last line of defence but also a crucial part of building play from the back.
Flynn is motivated to play at the highest level possible and cites former Reading and Sydney FC striker Adam Le Fondre as the best player he has played alongside, while naming Rylan Brownlie as the toughest opponent he’s faced.

He said: “I’m buzzing to join a club with such passionate fans, and the chance to play alongside my brothers again makes it even more special.”

Gethin Thomas (to Porthmadog)

Midfielder who unfortunately missed out on the whole of 2024-25 having suffered a bad injury in pre-season.
He had joined Porthmadog at the start of 2024 after spending two-and-a-half seasons with Bangor 1876.
Thomas had previous spells with Nantlle Vale and Porthmadog.

Zak Pike (Nantlle Vale to Porthmadog)

Former Port forward Pike returns to the club having spent most of last season with Nantlle Vale where he gained further experience at tier 3 level, scoring nine goals.
The 19-year-old had prevous spells with the Bala Town Acaedmy as well as playing youth football with Porthmadog.

Math Jones (Nantlle Vale to Porthmadog)

Nantlle Vale’s captain of last season joins Chris Jones’ squad at Y Traeth for what will be an all important and challenging season.
The 21 year-old Math Jones will add strength and depth to the Port midifeld.
Jones made more than 100 club appearances and notched 16 goals for Nantlle Vale going back to 2021-22, when he scored twice on debut in a 4-2 FAW Amateur Trophy win over Llanrwst United.
Prior to that was a Caernarfon Town Under-16s player.
