Ynys Môn club denied Welsh Cup entry through no fault of their own

Tonight’s JD Welsh Cup first qualifying round draw will be a source of excitement for dozens of teams around Wales – but not for one Ynys Môn club which is out of the competition through no fault of their own.
CPD Boded of the tier 4 North Wales Coast West League Premier Division paid their entrance fee online and thought their entry was secure.
However, yesterday, their name was not included among the cup entrants on the FAW website.
If emerged today that a glitch in the entry system blocked Boded’s application and at this late stage of organising the competition, the FAW told the island club it could do nothing about it.
After discovering their plight, Boded put out this message on their social media:
“After entering and paying for the Welsh Cup on June 12th, we find out today we won’t be in the competition. From no fault of our own we miss out on playing. Shocking.”
This was the FAW’s message sent to the club.
