TRANSFERS 96-105

Robbie Williams (Prestatyn Town to Brickfield Rangers)

Robbie (right) with Brickfield manager Gareth Wilson

Highly-rated goalkeeper who made 27 appearances for Prestatyn Town in the Cymru North last season.
Prior to that spent two seasons at another Cymru North outfit, Guilsfield, where he was an ever-present in the league and played 85 times in total.
Also represented Gresford Athletic in tier 2 and previously was with The New Saints.
Has made 112 Cymru North appearances in all, so a great fit for T2 newcomers Brickfield.
At 23, he brings valuable experience, composure and excellent shot-stopping ability to Clywedog Park.

Oli Blayney (Airbus UK Development to Buckley Town)

Young talent, aged 18, comes home to Buckley after spending the latter part of last season at Airbus and before that developing through The New Saints’ academy, later playing regularly tor their reserve and development teams.
Buckley boss Asa Hamilton is delighted to get the youngster on board.
Asa said: “Having spoken a bit last season, three or four of the top clubs in the Cymru North were after him and I’m chuffed that he chose us. He’s a great kid and he started his football life in our Junior section, he’s a Buckley lad through and through and I’m delighted to get him on board.
“He’s great in tight areas, he creates goals, he scores goals and he might just be the piece of the jigsaw we were missing last season. I’ve put a lot of pressure on him because I think he can be exceptional and one of the contenders for Player of the Season. Bring it on!”

Will Nevitt (Penycae to Llay Welfare)

Versatile attacker returns to The Ring after a spell with Penycae last season.
Won promotion with the Welly from the Ardal Northern leagues in 2023-24.
Has also had stints with Mold Alexandra and Rhostyllen, where he scored 10 goals in Ardal North West back in 2021-22, after nurturing his talents with The New Saints.

Liam Ellis (Ruthin Town to Buckley Town)

Liam Ellis (left) with Asa Hamilton

Began senior career at Flint Town United, where he made brief appearances for the club in the Cymru Premier during 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Joined Cymru North side Ruthin Town in January 2023, scoring on debut in a 4-0 victory at Porthmadog.
Switched to Llandudno in early 2023-24 and remained with the Seasiders in the opening weeks of 2024-25 prior to going back to Ruthin, helping the team preserve their Cymru North status.
Buckley is his latest stop, with manager Asa Hamilton overjoyed to land his man.
“I’ve always admired Liam, he can play well in many positions but that can also be a negative, so for me it’s about him trying to cement a spot in the first team,” said Asa.
“He knows it’s going to be hard work, he knows our hopes and expectations for the season i.e. promotion. He’s been amazing in training, he’s integrated well with everyone and he’s so loud! For me, there’s a certain position he’ll play and that’s what he needs to strive for. He’s full of energy, he’s fit and he’s got a lot of people he needs to prove wrong. For me, that’s a great thing, it gives you an extra hunger and fire in your belly to go out and get it done. I’m really excited about Liam, he’s a great addition to the squad.”

Ethan Evans (Prestatyn Sports to Meliden)

Versatile 23-year-old whose previous clubs include Prestatyn Sports, Rhos United, Bow, Kinmel Bay and Prestatyn Town. Ethan is our 100th transfer featured this pre-season to date.
Meliden manager Dan Sleet said: “I’m pleased to finally welcome Ethan to the club. We tried to sign him in January but we couldn’t get his registration completed. He’s someone who has made a good impact with us in training and he gives us more strength in specific positions. He’s direct, has a real good energy and will definitely strengthen the squad.”

Tomos Salisbury (Denbigh Town to Ruthin Town)

Talented young striker switches Vale of Clwyd clubs.
A Ruthin Town spokesman said: “Tom is a real catch as we look to build for the future.
“He’s definitely got a huge future ahead of him and for a lad of such a young age, he got some good minutes at Tier 2 last season.
“He’s hit the ground running and with pace to burn and an eye for goal, he will have a huge role to play this coming season.”

Joel Giblin (to Ruthin Town)

Nineteen-year-old returns to Ruthin where he had a fine spell on loan in the 2023-24 season.
Signs for the blues after a long association with Colwyn Bay.
Ruthin rate Giblin as a real marquee signing ahead of their latest campaign in the Cymru North.
A spokesman said: “He has absolutely blistering pace and also loves a tackle and he will be someone to look out for.
“Unfortunately his playing time at Colwyn Bay was cut short by injury but he is back at the club with something to prove.”

John James King (Saltney Town to Llay Welfare)

Known as JJ. An exciting attacking player with a penchant for scoring special goals.
Is back at Llay following a short stay at the club early last season.
Played a number of games for Prestatyn Town in the Cymru North during 2022-23 before signing for Saltney Town the following season.
Scored a few goals for the Bordermen in 2023-24, joined Llay at the start of 2024-25, but soon returned to Saltney and netted six times over the season, including one in each of his last three appearances.

Hugh Holland (Airbus UK Broughton to Buckley Town)

Hugh Holland (left) with Asa Hamilton

Lands at The Globe from Airbus, where he featured mainly for the development side last season, but also scored for the firsts in their NEWFA Challenge Cup Final win over Corwen.
He has also had spells with Colwyn Bay and NFA.
Buckley boss Asa Hamilton said: “He’s a great kid, his attitude is second to none and he’s another one with something to prove – and I think that in the right environment he can do that. We’re really happy to have him on board and I can’t wait to see how he gets on this season.”

Ellis Hickey (Mold Alex to Llay Welfare)

Tough-tackling midfielder who made his debut for Airbus UK Broughton in the Cymru Premier back in 2019-20.
After starting 2021-22 with the Wingmakers in Cymru North, he signed for Ardal North West club Mold.
Was part of a great Alex squad which won the league and FAW Amateur Trophy.
Remained with Mold in their 2022-23 Cymru North campaign before moving to Brickfield Rangers in the February of that season.
Split his time between Brickfield and Mold over the next two seasons, but now begins a change of scene at Llay Miners Welfare, where this experienced midfielder will no doubt be a major asset.
