Here’s a dozen more North Wales football transfers!

Dale Davies in his time at Bangor 1876. The striker has now signed for Ardal North East club Llanuwchllyn

Some of these signings are new, others have been completed within the past month, but time is not of the essence in features like this, it’s just a case of recording as many moves as we can, when we can, and if we can find them!

Many thanks to all clubs for their information and photos.

Dale Davies (Chirk AAA to Llanuwchllyn)

Well-travelled striker who has always played his football at a good level.

Made his mark at Corwen and Brickfield Rangers before signing for Huws Gray Alliance side Porthmadog in 2018-19.

Davies returned to Corwen in January 2019 and remained at the Edeyrnion club until the end of the shortened 2019-20 campaign.

In 2021-22, Davies joined Chirk AAA of the newly-formed Ardal North East League. He had an amazing season, scoring 24 goals in 28 games as the Colliers were crowned champions of the Tier 3 league.

The forward remained at Holyhead Road as the club entered Tier 2 Cymru North. It was a tough season for the AAA’s, but they managed to avoid relegation, Davies netting seven goals.

Chirk began 2023-24 badly and Davies signed for Bangor 1876 in the January of that season.

He made 11 appearances for the fan-owned Cymru North club, scoring twice.

Davies remained at 1876 at the start of last season, but rejoined Chirk in January 2025. Sadly, the Colliers were to suffer relegation once more, this time from Ardal North East to tier 4.

Now comes a move to Llanuwchllyn of Ardal North East, who have lost in the T3 northern promotion play-off final for the past two seasons.

Shaun Pearson (Holywell Town to Llandudno)

Goalkeeper Pearson is back at Llandudno, a club where he has long been held in high regard.

Pearson previously captained the Seasiders and made over 110 appearances, including 28 in the JD Cymru Premier.

He now returns to the Go Goodwins Stadium following a successful spell with Holywell Town, where he lifted the JD Cymru North title in 2024 and featured in 50 matches across all competitions over the past two seasons.

Former Oldham Athletic prospect Shaun has also represented Colwyn Bay, Airbus UK Broughton, Barrow and Llangefni Town in an impressive career.

John Owen (Aberystwyth Town to Bala Town)

Owen has appeared for many clubs in his career and seems to have been around forever, yet he is just 32 with hopefully still a good few years left in football.

The Bangor-born forward has just signed for Bala, where he currently lives, from Aberystwyth Town, who lost their Cymru Premier status last season.

John has made 269 Cymru Premier appearances in all, scoring 41 goals.

In the top-flight, he has played for: Bangor City, Rhyl, Llandudno, Cefn Druids and Aberystwyth, whom he served for seven seasons in total, clocking up 169 league appearances.

He represented Llandudno in the 2016-17 UEFA Europa League against Swedish giants
Göteborg.

A Cymru C international, John has also worn the colours of Porthmadog and Caersws in tier 2 and had loan spells at Conwy Borough and Llangefni Town earlier in his career.

Ryan Austin (Caernarfon Town to Llandudno)

Former Wrexham AFC Youth player who made seven Cymru Premier appearances for Caernarfon Town in 2023-24.

Llandudno have now signed the 6’5″ centre-back and believe he can make a big impact in the Cymru North.

Baz Haigh (to Holyhead Town)

Prolific marksman over the years who turned out for Caergybi last season, scoring four goals in as many games.

Now 42, Haigh is reported to be looking sharp in training and eager to get among the goals in upcoming friendlies.

Over the years, the veteran striker has been a consistent net-finder for the likes of Holyhead Hotspur, Trearddur Bay, Morawelon and Valley.

One of his best seasons was 2012-13, when he scored 44 goals for Holyhead side Morawelon.

McKenzie Slaven (Llandudno to Kinmel Bay)

Commanding centre-back who made his Cymru North debut for Llandudno in 2021-22 and has featured 19 times in that league for the Seasiders, as well as being part of their reserves and development sides over the years.

Moved to tier 5 club Llandudno Amateurs in January 2023, going on to make 25 appearances and scoring five goals before rejoining Llandudno FC in January 2024.

Was back with Llandudno Amateurs at the start of last season, playing in 12 games before another return to Maesdu Park, where he represented Llandudno Reserves.

Now has a chance to shine in tier 4 with Kinmel Bay of the North Wales Coast East Premier Division.

Lewis Heywood (to Holyhead Town)

Was a player with the now disbanded Valley Seniors last season, featuring in 22 matches and scoring two goals.

Expected to strengthen the Holyhead Town attack with his tidy footwork and an eye for a pass. A talented player who Holyhead were keen to bring in after impressing against them last season.

George Hughes (Newtown to Colwyn Bay)

Returns to the Bay having spent a month on loan at the club during the 2017/18 season in the Evo-Stik League First Division North.

The 26-year-old began his career at Shrewsbury Town and also had loan stints with Clitheroe and Stalybridge Celtic as well as the Bay and Newtown.

He made his first team debut for Shrewsbury in the 2017/18 season before leaving to join Airbus UK in July 2019 and moved to Newtown in the summer of 2020, where he has spent the last five years, making 149 Cymru Premier appearances and scoring four times.

In all, he has played in 172 CPL matches, notching five goals.

Jordan Pownall (Connah’s Quay Nomads to Llandudno)

Local lad comes home!

Midfielder Pownall spent the second half of last season on loan with Cymru North club Denbigh Town, whom he joined in February, making 10 league appearances and playing in their heartbreaking Welsh Cup quarter-final defeat to Llanelli Town.

Pownall emerged through Llandudno’s academy setup before making the move to Connah’s Quay Nomads.

During his time with the Nomads, he captained their U19s to back-to-back league titles and made 14 appearances for the first team, scoring for them in last season’s Welsh Cup.

To gain further experience, he has also spent time on loan with Gresford Athletic and Ruthin Town.

Nathan Peate (Bala Town to Colwyn Bay)

Wales C international who has made 234 Cymru Premier appearances, netting 29 goals.

Defender Peate joins the Bay from Bala Town, where he spent five seasons and was captain last term.

The 34-year-old made 145 appearances for the Lakesiders, scoring 21 goals and featured in five European campaigns with the club.

He had joined Bala from Cefn Druids in the summer of 2020 having been a member of the team that secured a Europa League spot in 2018.

Nathan spent four seasons with Druids and has also had spells at Llandudno, who he also represented in Europe, Gresford Athletic and Denbigh Town.

Elis Griffiths (Trearddur Bay to Holyhead Town)

Gifted young goalkeeper, aged 17, who has had senior experience with Trearddur Bay’s first team and Development side as well as playing many games at youth level with Holyhead Hotspur.

A great addition to the goalkeeping department at Holyhead Town.

Matty Hill (Caernarfon Town to Colwyn Bay)

Hill returns to the Blue Turtle Arena after spending last season with Caernarfon Town, where he was part of the squad which competed in the Europa Conference League.

The forward spent two seasons with the Seagulls in his first spell after joining from Ruthin Town in the summer of 2022.

He was top scorer in his first season with 17 goals from 34 appearances as Bay won the JD Cymru North title and iin 2023-24 bagged six goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.
