Meet The Three Rhosketeers!
Rhos United have unveiled their three-man management team for the 2025-26 campaign.
It promises to be an exciting season for a club which has been promoted to the tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier Division after winning the T5 Division One title and REM Jones Cup double last term.
The trio is charge this season will be:
Richard Hillier-Evans – First Team Manager
Rhys Lane – Team Advisor
Brandon Lee – Head Coach
Goalkeeper Richard has won back-to-back Division One doubles with Bow and Rhos over the past two seasons.
In 2024-25, he kept 14 clean sheets for the champions in red and black.
Rhys has a lot of experience in local football, especially in the Llandudno area.
He was founder and manager of Llandudno Athletic, who transformed themselves from whipping boys to cup-winning heroes in the former Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League during the last decade.
The 2018-19 season proved to be the club’s finest. Not only did they finish second in the Premier, they also won their first-ever trophies, landing both the Premier Cup and Presidents Cup, defeating Abergele in the finals at Denbigh Town.
Sadly, the club folded at the end of 2019-20 due to a lack of players, but Rhys has always remained active on the local football scene.
Brandon joins with a wealth of coaching experience and a modern, dynamic approach to the game. His ability to connect with players and push performance standards will be a major asset as we prepare for the challenges ahead.
Richard said: “I’m extremely honoured to be given this prestigious role. I had a couple of offers to step into management before, but to do it for the first time with a club that means so much to my family and me is a feeling I can’t put into words. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get started. Thank you to all the lads that have signed and stayed with us for the season ahead.
“We have been working hard in training already and the lads have bought into what we want to achieve this season. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”
Richard steps into management with clear vision, dedication, and a deep connection to the club. Under his leadership, Rhos United looks to channel that energy into a campaign full of ambition and success.
Rhys commented: “Excited to come on board, as Rhos are keen to kick on from a successful season last year. Hopefully my experience can be of assistance to Rich and the boys.”
Rhys brings valuable insight and a steady presence to support both Rich and Brandon, ensuring the team remains focused and competitive throughout the season.
And Brandon added: “Absolutely honoured to join this great club. I’ll keep it short, but to be a part of a club that supports my other football commitments is fantastic. Joining such a successful squad—one so full of quality—is a huge positive.
“We can only achieve great things here. Massive season ahead. Thank you to Rich and the chairman for bringing me in. Up The Rhos ❤️🖤”
