Rhos United have rounded off their summer squad rebuild with two more cracking signings.
Striker Luke Stanley and midfield ace Aaron Boyle have joined Richard Hillier-Evans’ side for the 2025-26 campaign.
They follow fellow new faces Oli Gray, Alistair Macaulay, Ashley Seddon, Cameron Berry, Tyler Oakley-Evans, Arron Querci, Ryan Cunningham, Oli Wood, Ryan Gizzi and Louis Gizzi who have signed for the tier 4 North Wales Coast East Premier newcomers this season.
From last season’s Division One title and cup double squad, Bret Durkan, Adam Williams, Lewis Sealey, Richard Hill, Chris King, Tom Brady and John King are among those to remain.
Boyle, 33, was a standout player in almost three seasons at Bow, before that having also worn the colours of Greenfield and Glan Conwy.
Rhos United said in a club statement: “We’re absolutely buzzing to announce the signing of Aaron Boyle, a massive addition to the squad and a player who brings not only experience but a touch of class and leadership we’re thrilled to have.
“Plenty of clubs were chasing Boyley this season, but sometimes… the heart just knows where it belongs. In Red and Black.”
Boyle commented: “Richie’s first year as manager – could be an interesting one. Buzzing to be part of it. The team is getting stronger every week, and I’m excited heading into Saturday’s game.”
Manager Hillier-Evans added: “To finish our squad off with a player like Boyley shows how far we’ve come as a club. He’s been excellent in pre-season – already helping develop our younger lads.
“On his day, he’s one of the best players in Tier 4. This is a real statement signing heading into the new season.”
Stanley, 23, scored an outstanding 18 goals for CPD Y Glannau in 2023-24 and is returning to football with Rhos having taken a break for most of last term.
A club statement said: “After a year out Stan is back—and looking sharp. Previously at Y Glannau, he lit up his last season with 18 appearances, 17 goals, and 12 assists.
“He’s been with us all pre-season and hasn’t missed a beat. We can’t wait to see him link up with the lads once again.”
Stanley said: “It took a while to decide whether to play again, but once Rich explained his project and where he wants to take this team, it felt right.
“Having good mates already at the club made it an easy choice. I’m excited for the season ahead.”
Manager Hillier-Evans: “I’m thrilled to have Stan back. He’s been with us through pre-season, still unsure if he wanted to commit, but now that he’s all in, I know he’ll be a massive asset. Once he’s fully sharp again, he’ll be a real problem for opposition defences.”
