Bangor lead the way in the Premier Division after Saturday saw them win their fourth consecutive match of the season.

Winning the toss and deciding to bat, the Citizens posted 210-6 off 50 overs, Nathanael Scott top-scoring with 51, Franco Kasner adding 38 and Nadeem Rehman 35.

Bethesda (1) 73-10 Brymbo (18) 425-2

Brymbo amassed what is believed to be one of the biggest totals in the league’s history at the expense of Premier newcomers Bethesda.

The Steelmen piled up a mammoth 425-2 off 50 overs, Sam Aplin with a maiden league century and career best 126.

Johandre Barnard hit 119 not out off just 85 balls with 10 sixes and four fours, Jason Underwood taking a ridiculous 29 deliveries to smash an unbeaten 86, including 11 maximums and opener Chris Taylor adding 70.

Aplin and Taylor put on 110 for the first wicket, and the century-maker added 196 with Barnard.

Barnard and Underwood then concocted an undefeated 119 for the third wicket.

All manner of league records have probably been broken, but none yet confirmed.

Bethesda were then bowled out for just 73, Richard Deniz 4-1 off three and Joe Norman 3-20.

Final victory margin was 352 runs.

Only one higher score in a competitive game by a North Wales senior team can be confirmed at present – the 429-0 St Asaph scored in a Welsh Cup tie against Llanrwst in May 1998, where Australian Neil Schlittler blasted 310 not out and opening partner Dylan Davies made a ton.

When it comes to setting big totals, there is no stopping Menai Bridge at present.

Saturday saw them rattle up 273 all out at home to Gwersyllt Park after calling the coin correctly and opting to bat.

Opener Jack Gower struck 87, sharing in a second-wicket partnership of 125 with Dion Holden (46).

Iroshan De Silva claimed 4-48 for the visitors, Kastun Stoute 2-41 and Neil Pearson 2-42.

Skipper Ashley Wood scooped 4-30, Holden 3-31 and Mathew Jones 2-36 as the hosts sent Park packing for 192, Ethan McCarthy 42, skipper Jamie Griffiths 41 and Ryan Collier 39.

Northop (18) 152-2 Conwy (3) 151-10

Elliot Colclough’s commanding 72 not out helped Northop breeze to an eight-wicket triumph over Conwy at Flint Road.

Opener Shaun Davies headed the batting chart with 48 as the visitors were bowled out for 151 having opted to bat, Bart Ryan-Beswick 5-19 and Venumadhav Peram 3-16 for the hosts.

Northop made it to 152-2 off just 26.5 overs, Matthew Williams (35 not out) providing good support for Colclough.

St Asaph (18) 159-4 Mochdre (4) 155-10

Champions Mochdre suffered a first defeat of the season as 2024 runners-up St Asaph saw them off by six wickets at Elwy Park Grove.

Adam Campion shone brightest for the visitors, who won the toss and batted, scoring 43 in a modest total of 155 all out, the on-form Dan Evans grabbing 5-30 for the hosts, Danny Ryan taking 2-28.

Saints responded with 159-4 off 34.5, opener Kyle Williams striking an impressive 65, Andrew Swarbrick 2-30 for the title-holders.
