Happy birthday to Holywell Town midfielder
Happy birthday Jack Sconce, a newcomer to the exciting world of Novira Cymru Premier football this season.
Born on September 3, 2001, Jack is a midfielder with Holywell Town, newly-promoted to the top flight in 2026-27.
Jack’s first involvement with Welsh football came when he joined Flint Mountain at the start of 2023-24 and had a sensational debut in a 4-1 victory at CPD Y Rhyl 1879 in Ardal North West.
He went on to make 40 appearances in total that season, scoring eight goals, playing a major role in Mountain being crowned tier 3 ANW champions and lifting the NEWFA Challenge Cup.
The 2024-25 campaign saw the player again stand out for Mountain in their debut Cymru North season, netting six times in 27 league outings as his team finished in seventh place. He also produced the most assists in the entire Cymru North (13).
Jack previously played for Chester and Wirral League sides Blacon Youth and Upton.
A creative and fearless attacker, Jack brings flair, vision and a serious threat in the final third.
He had a great debut season at Holywell in 2025-26, making 28 appearances and helping guide the third-place Wellmen to promotion to the Cymru Premier.
Jack has made four top league appearances for Holywell so far this season and netted the team’s first CPL goal of 2026-27 in a defeat at Cardiff Met.
