Wrexham AFC Women have successfully appealed against the FAW’s initial decision to refuse them a Tier 1 licence needed to compete in the Adran Premier in 2025-26.
Steve Dale’s team have finished fourth in the top flight this season following last term’s third spot and reached the Welsh Cup Final for a second successive campaign.
The FAW Appeals Body (AB) met on Thursday to assess and consider the appeals submitted as a result of the First Instance Body decisions made for the UEFA & Tier 1 Women’s Club Licence on 27 March.
The FAW received two appeals from Wrexham and Cascade YC who were refused their Tier 1 Women’s Club Licence.
Both clubs were successful in their appeal and have been granted their Tier 1 Licence for the 2025/26 season.
This concludes the UEFA & Tier 1 Women’s Club Licensing cycle for participation in UEFA & Tier 1 Women’s competitions for the 2025/26 season.
