Arfon Ladies maintained their winning form last week

Reports from week 19 of the Cynghrair Pêl-rwyd Gwynedd a Môn Netball League

Menai Mavericks enjoy a 12-point lead at the DIVISION 1 summit after recording 29-22 win over Fflamau TC last Wednesday (March 19).

Emily Walker was a stand out player for Mavericks, winning both the Players and Umpires PoM awards.

Tim o Walis proved too strong for Pwllheli Panthers in a 35-12 success, while Rebals TC rattled up a huge 50 goals against Bethesda, who scored 13 in reply.

Second-place Arfon Ladies outscored Penygroes Primos 34-18. Alis Francis shone brightly for Arfon, while Tesni Jones did likewise for Primos.

DIVISION 2 leaders Genod Walis were unstoppable in a 42-16 victory over Walis Midffild last Tuesday (March 18) – that’s 14 straight wins for them.

Third-from-bottom Llewod Llyfni enjoyed a great 29-23 result against third-from-top Porthmadog, the sides having been level at 14-14 by the midway stage.

Holyhead Hawks outscored Bethesda Bach 34-7, while Thunderjags edged past Pwllheli Dreigiau Dre 17-15 in the closest game of the night.

Still no wins in 14 for Pwllheli, but they are getting closer, having led 11-8 at half time in their latest match. Dal ati!
