Menai Mavericks have a 10-point lead at the Division 1 summit

It was a good night for leaders Menai Mavericks in Division One as they recorded a solid 35-28 win over Dolgellau.

Mavericks won the first three quarters and although Dolgellau took the last 9-7, it had no significant effect on the final outcome.

Gwenno Pritchard was star player for the Anglesey side.

Second-place Walis Bryncoch comfortably saw off Celts Bach 39-21, the victors really turning on the power in the final two quarters which they dominated 11-6 and 12-6.

Dyffryn Ladies edged past Tim o Walis 26-22. It was just 13-12 to Dyffryn at halfway, but winning the third 8-5 proved crucial.

Fflamau TC outscored Pwllheli Panthers 30-20, a 9-4 success in the second quarter making a big difference.

In Division Two, Genod Walis used their game in hand to good advantage as they moved four points clear with a 46-11 triumph over Bethesda Bach.

Rebecca Owen produced a fine display for the losing side.

Non Jones was the standout performer as Porthmadog edged a 26-25 verdict over Thunderjags.
