Cynghrair Hogan Pêl-Rwyd Gwynedd a Môn – Menai Mavericks and Genod Walis lead way

It was a good night for leaders Menai Mavericks in Division One as they recorded a solid 35-28 win over Dolgellau.
Mavericks won the first three quarters and although Dolgellau took the last 9-7, it had no significant effect on the final outcome.
Gwenno Pritchard was star player for the Anglesey side.
Second-place Walis Bryncoch comfortably saw off Celts Bach 39-21, the victors really turning on the power in the final two quarters which they dominated 11-6 and 12-6.
Dyffryn Ladies edged past Tim o Walis 26-22. It was just 13-12 to Dyffryn at halfway, but winning the third 8-5 proved crucial.
Fflamau TC outscored Pwllheli Panthers 30-20, a 9-4 success in the second quarter making a big difference.
In Division Two, Genod Walis used their game in hand to good advantage as they moved four points clear with a 46-11 triumph over Bethesda Bach.
Rebecca Owen produced a fine display for the losing side.
Non Jones was the standout performer as Porthmadog edged a 26-25 verdict over Thunderjags.
Port led all the way, but were only three ahead entering the final session which Thunderjags won 8-6, thus finishing just one goal behind.
Holyhead Hawks defeated Pwllheli Dreigiau Dre 26-12, while Walis Wariars beat Blaenau Ffestiniog 40-0 on a forfeit.
