Nine-man Bangor 1876 put up brave show but suffer four-goal loss at Flint

Mountain celebrated a third straight win and stretched their unbeaten league run to five matches with a four-goal victory over nine-man Bangor 1876.
The final scoreline suggests a hammering but those in attendance will have seen a visitors performance filled by spirit and attacking intent.
Both sides had chances before the deadlock was broken in first half added time.
Bangor keeper Carl Jones was red-carded having been adjudged to foul Jack Parry. The resulting penalty, taken by Parry, found the bottom corner despite Tom Clarke’s best efforts as stand-in keeper.

The blues in red belied belied their reduced numbers by attacking with spirit at the start of the second half. Ryan Stratulis’ dangerous looking free kick flew over before Dylan Summers-Jones produced an effort that flew narrowly wide.
James Barry was then denied by John Danby in the home goal.
The eight minutes between the 65th and 73rd were a distillation of the sort of frustration that only football can create, from an 1876 perspective that is.
The 65th minute saw Summers-Jones’ burst into the area halted by what could have been perceived as a foul, but play continued. The home side then doubled their lead in the 68th minute when Ryan Kershaw’s free kick from the wing was headed past Clarke by Andy Brown.
The 71th minute saw 1876 reduced to nine men as Summers-Jones was adjudged to have committed a foul upon Joe Holt, the Mountain captain.
In the 73th minute Flint increased their lead when the Kershaw-Brown double act produced another headed goal via a cross.
Bangor kept trying to attack, but the 85th minute saw the final goal of the match as Taylor Edwards tapped home a Ben Lawrence cross from close range,
