Connah’s Quay Nomads land live TV Welsh Cup quarter-final date

Connah’s Quay Nomads (red) will feature live on S4C in the Welsh Cup quarter-finals

The JD Welsh Cup Quarter-Final tie between Caerau Ely and Connah’s Quay Nomads has been selected for live Sgorio coverage by S4C.

The fixture at Cwrt-yr-Ala will kick off at 12:45pm on Sunday 16 February and will be available to watch on S4C, S4C Clic and Sgorio’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

JD Cymru South side Caerau Ely have earned a reputation as giant killers in this season’s competition, already knocking out top-flight sides Barry Town United and Bala Town to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in their history.

They are one of six second tier sides still remaining. The Nomads are one of just two from the JD Cymru Premier in the last eight, along with The New Saints.

Nomads, the current holders of the competition, have reached the last eight courtesy of wins over Guilsfield, Trefelin and Mold Alexandra.

QUARTER-FINAL LINE-UP

Denbigh Town v Llanelli Town

Caerau Ely v Connah’s Quay Nomads

The New Saints v Airbus UK Broughton

Cambrian United v Carmarthen Town

Ties to be played February 14-16
