The JD Welsh Cup Quarter-Final tie between Caernarfon Town and Colwyn Bay has been selected for live Sgorio coverage by S4C.

The fixture at the Go Goodwins Stadium in Llandudno will kick-off at 5:15pm on Saturday 31 January and will be available to watch on S4C, BBC iPlayer, S4C Clic and Sgorio’s YouTube channel.

The two sides are the highest ranked left in this season’s JD Welsh Cup, with Caernarfon currently fourth in the JD Cymru Premier and Colwyn Bay only three points further back in fifth.

The Cofis scored two late goals to triumph 4-2 away at Cardiff Met in the last round, booking a spot in the quarter-finals for the first time since 2019.

Bay were also victorious on the road in Round Four, as Aaron Williams’ perfect hat-trick sealed a 3-0 win against Pontypridd United. The Seagulls have reached this stage for the second time in three years.

The two sides have already met twice in the league this season, with Colwyn Bay the winners both occasions. Louis Robles’ goal secured a 1-0 win at the Blue Turtle Arena in October, before strikes from Nathan Peate and Jamie Cumming helped to earn a 2-1 victory at the Go Goodwins Stadium in December.

However, in the Nathaniel MG Cup at the end of August, Caernarfon outscored the Bay 3-0.

Six of the eight 2025-26 Welsh Cup quarter-finalists are from North Wales – the highest Gogledd representation at this stage in the competition’s 148-year history.
