Goals from Abbie Iddenden, Lili Jones and Liv Fuller ensured Wrexham made it back-to-back league wins for the first time this season.

The deadlock was broken on 12 minutes when Iddenden found the net from a Brooke Cairns assist.

Jones soon made it two with an outrageous long-distance chip into an unguarded goal.

Defender Fuller added the third on 56 minutes, Cairns again involved in the set up.

CPD Y Rhyl 1879 0 Connah’s Quay Nomads 4

Joint-leaders Nomads made it three wins from three matches as four goals from different scorers secured a 4-0 result at Rhyl on Sunday afternoon.

Phoebe Ellis got things rolling with a simple finish at the front post, before captain Polly Wild-McGregor and new signing Ella Jones both finished smartly one-on-one with Rhyl goalkeeper Bethan Thomas.

Those early goals remained the difference for the majority of the match, but substitute Aimee Redfern came off the bench to head home from Ellis’ corner and put the game to bed late in the day.

With so many key players having departed the club recently, Rhyl were always going to find it tough against an on-fire Nomads outfit.

However, the Lilywhites fought hard, Despite a torrid opening 15 minutes where they conceded three goals, the team found their rhythm and forced the Nomads to work for every opportunity.

They held the visitors at bay until the 80th minute, only conceding again from a corner. The team’s work rate and attitude were exceptional, with everyone pulling together to deliver a strong.display.

Players of the Match Jaz Mollatt and Rosie O’Brien were outstanding. They faced the challenge of handling quick wingers, but made it difficult for them.

CPDM Bangor 0 Llandudno 1

Llandudno maintained top spot in Adran North on goal difference thanks to a first-half added time winner from Kelsey Davies.

Having previously lost 7-1 and 4-0 in cup matches against Tudno this season, Bangor made things much tougher for the champions in Sunday’s league encounter.

Davies’ goal saw her latch on to a sublime delivery from Jasmin Dutton behind the defence and fire into the bottom-right corner.

Tudno missed several other chances to make the game safe and Bangor grew in confidence in the second half.

Georgia Owen-Lewis was player of the match for the home side.

Bangor manager Aron Griffith said: “I think after the last two games versus Llandudno everyone thought it would be a walk in the park for them again this time. How wrong that was.

“Not taking anything away from Dudno, they’re a brilliant side and their goal was a brilliant ball in behind us and a good finish from them.

“But we were in that game from the first whistle until the final. All of the girls believed we could push Llandudno all the way and get something out of that match. We created chances which Mia (Roberts) and Erin (Basinger) could have scored from but lady luck wasn’t on our side

“The girls were fantastic today, and if we can play like that week in week out, then the results and the three points will come along with it.

“We have a two-week break now to recoup and settle any injuries we have to face Llanfair away. This is always a hard place to go and they have improved again this season, so tough test ahead.”

Llanfair United 2 CPDM Y Felinheli 1

Not a day to remember for Felinheli.

Emma Williams gave Llanfair a 16th minute lead and Paris Schofield bagged the winner with 64 done.

In between, Shannon Jade Jones equalised for the visitors on 56 minutes.

Flint Town United 5 NFA 0

Rosie Hughes (2), Ruby McGilloway, Zoe Stopford and Ruby Hastings shared the goals in an emphatic win for Flint covered in depth elsewhere on Grassroots North Wales.
