Check out how our 2024-25 Fab Fifteen are performing

This youngster cannot stop scoring

Earlier in the season, we chose 15 players to watch in North Wales senior women’s football during 2024-25.

Let’s check on our selections…..

1 Taylia Chaloner (Flint Town United)

Has played in all six league and cup games since Flint’s promotion to Tier 2 and is adapting really well.

Although the Silkwomen have suffered a couple of heavy defeats amidst the wins, that was always going to be the case when stepping up in standard against the likes of champions Llandudno.

Taylia is an inspirational figure in an ever-improving Flint defence.

2 Rosie O’Brien (CPD Y Rhyl 1879)

It’s been a difficult start to the season for Rhyl, but in the better performances, Rosie has been the key player at left-back the team needs. She will remain a vital part of the jigsaw.

3 Natasha Spearing (Connah’s Quay Nomads)

Five straight wins for Nomads so far and Spearing has featured in all of them.

Her background and experience will no doubt be vital in her team’s progress.

4 Beth Roberts (CPD Merched Henllan)

What a start to the season! Already she has amassed 21 goals in 5 games for new faces Henllan, including a triple hat-trick.

Not 17 till June, Beth’s two sisters have also played a bit and brother Jared represents CPD Llannefydd in Ardal North West.

This is Beth’s first season up front having played in midfield for the juniors.

Even before this season so-called bigger clubs were enquiring about her. Very skillful.player and No1 markswoman in North Wales senior football so far.

5 Laura Pratt (Airbus UK Broughton)

Dazzling 17-year-old has scored in every game played so far, netting nine goals in five matches for Tier 3 Airbus.

Laura netted a first senior hat-trick against Berriew at the weekend. Absolutely one to watch.

6 Catrin Roberts (CPDM Bangor)

Outstanding young keeper has made a steady start for Bangor this season and at the weekend she received a major boost with her selection for Ynys Mon in the 2025 Island Games.

Has played in eight matches for Bangor and kept two clean sheets.

7 Ruby Hastings (Flint Town United)

Has already produced some spectacular goals this season in helping Flint qualify for the Genero Adran Trophy last 16.

After such a tremendous 2023-24 campaign for the Silkwomen, Ruby has picked up exactly where she left off.

8 Amy Chesters (Kinmel Bay)

One of the stars of the season so far with her great form in front of goal.

Has become a truly key player for Kinmel Bay, much-admired by her team-mates.

9 Llywela Edwards (CPDM Y Felinheli)

New signing this season who has started really well with three goals in five appearances for Felin.

Her experience will prove important in the development of her team’s younger players in the coming months.

10 Amber Brown (Caernarfon Town)

No wins as yet for Caernarfon, but teenager Amber has already scored a couple of goals and featured in some of the Cofis’ better displays.

11 Jess Woods (Trearddur Bay)

Exciting new signing who has scored in both her games so far, including the winner against Caernarfon Town.

One of a number of promising new recruits brought in by manager Ali Thomas.

12 Isabella Nardo (Northop Hall)

Has played in three of Hall’s four matches so far.

Not the best of starts for the team, but at just 18 hopefully Isabella has many good days to come.

13 Abi Cooke (Denbigh Town)

Has been part of a really promising start to the season for Denbigh, playing seven games in the defence. Lots of good things ahead.

14 Annest Roberts (CPDM Llanystumdwy)

Just 16 but shaping up really well for a Llanystumdwy side still unbeaten in the early stages of 2024-25.

Annest provided an assist in the recent 3-1 win over Caernarfon Town.

15 Katie Spruce (Llangefni Town)

Pic: DAI SINCLAIR

Has made six appearances this season for her new club and been on the losing side just once – a narrow 2-1 defeat to Tier 2 Connah’s Quay.

No doubt her outstanding keeping skills will keep Cefni solid at one end, while the free-scoring outfielders look to prosper at the other.
