Out of 136 previous Welsh Cup finals, only 15 have been all-North Wales affairs.

The last such occurrence was in 2012-13, when Prestatyn Town beat Bangor City 3-1 after extra time at the Racecourse Ground, Wrexham.

However, North Wales has produced the most Welsh Cup wins in the competitition#s history – 55.
