North Wales Coast East: Glannau lead Premier, Bow edge a 4-3 cracker, Swifts and Sports close gap

Premier Division

CPD Llansannan 0 CPD Y Glannau 3

A fourth straight league win and second consecutive clean sheet means Y Glannau are top of the Premier Division tonight.

The green and reds achieved an excellent victory at Llansannan, Steve Kirk giving the visitors a half time lead, Chris McQuillen with the assist.

David McHugh made it 2-0 in the 70th minute, Dan Porter supplying the set-up.

And the points were sealed when Josh Macgillivray added a third away goal with 81 gone.

Y Glannau’s afternoon was slightly tarnished when Jake Reddaway was sent off for a second yellow in the 97th minute.

CPD Cerrigydrudion 5 Kinmel Bay 2

After back-to-back cup defeats, Kinmel Bay suffered disappointment in the league today when they crashed 5-2 at Cerrig.

As the Bay management commented on social media after the game: “things need to change – and quickly”.

Goals from sub Tomos Watkin-Jones (2), Tirion Griffiths, captain Tomos Tryfan-Jones and Delwyn Jones won the day for the hosts, Connor Morris (pen) and Sean Sheridan replying for below par Bay.

Glan Conwy 3 Llanfairfechan Town 4

Cyril Carey notched a hat-trick – including a penalty – against his former club for narrow winners Llanfairfechan, Elliot Croston also on the mark.

Glan trailed 4-0 before launching a second half recovery, division top scorer Lewis Brownson, Josh Lycett and Mezz Knight making it a close-run thing in the end.

Llandyrnog United 0 Penmaenmawr Phoenix 6

No stopping the mighty Phoenix at Cae Nant, Harley Crossfield (2), Billy Sieben (2), Jamie Jones and Harry Benjamin shating the goals. Jones added two assists.

Meliden 3 Bow FC 4

Bow edged a seven-goal thriller at Ffordd Ty Newydd.

Captain Robbie Parry was the away side’s hero with a hat-trick, scoring on 2, 24 and 59 minutes, while young Loui O’Carroll added a single in first half stoppage time.

Kai Walis (pen), Lee Beattie and Lewis Thompson hit back for the Miners.

Mochdre Sports 2 Bro Cernyw 0

Kieran Smith and Kane Williams came up with the goals that secured the win which lifted Mochdre up to second.

Rhuddlan Town 0 Llandudno Amateurs 6

Six of the best from the Amateurs, subs Kyle King (2) and Robin Roberts providing half the goals, while Mackenzie Slaven, Kyle Johnson and Jay Sutton also found the net.

Llandudno Swifts 7 Prestatyn Wanderers 1

Seven heaven for the Swifts with Frank Montgomery (2), Harry Montgomery, Freddie Banning, Shae Pugh, Jake Carey and Jacob Snape splitting the goals, Adam Cassidy hitting back for Wanderers, who had Ian Jenkins red-carded.

Penrhyn Bay 12 Blue Bridge 1

Solomon Dickens (5), Tom Cotterell (3), Scott Hewitt (2), Rodrigo Neves and Marcus Howells combined to deliver a dozen for Bay, Jonathan Mee responding for the visitors.

Prestatyn Sports 3 Llysfaen 2

Mike Jones bagged the winner for Sports a minute into added time at the end of the 90 at The Meadows.

Jones also netted in the first half along with Kris Owen to give the hosts a 2-0 advantage, but Ben Rawlinson and Scott Davies brought Llysfaen back on terms with goals on 29 and 65 respectively before the late drama.

Rhyl Albion 0 Henllan 2

First half goals from Ifan Clayton and captain Jordan Owen clinched maximum points for Henllan.
