Six goals, six points clear at the summit and eight games undefeated – all very impressive stats for Rhos United.
The hosts, playing at Betws-yn-Rhos, could have gone behind inside 30 seconds but for the alertness of keeper Richard Hillier-Evans.
Rhos made the most of that let-off by taking a fifth-minute lead.
Lewis Sealey got a touch on a delightful Adam Williams chip and Chris King finished at the back post.
Further close calls for the hosts came along before in the 12th minute King’s header from a long throw looped into the net.
Penrhyn Bay danger man Stan Farrell blasted one just over the bar as the visitors tried to get back into the contest.
In the 23rd minute Rhos made it 3-0 when King played a ball from his own half to Adam Williams, who ran on to score into the bottom left.
Sealey added the fourth, following up to score after Ryan Devenport kept out a Mike Chapman strike.
After the break, Penrhyn shaped up the better side for a good spell, but did not really test the Rhos back line.
It became 5-0 in the 68th minute via a deflected Sealey free kick awarded for a foul on Scott Court.
Elliot Hughes-Whittaker threatened with a shot for the visitors, but Hillier-Evans managed to get down low and keep the ball out and his clean sheet alive.
Great work from Phemmy Allison set up Court for number six in the 86th minute.
CPD Henllan 1-2 Prestatyn Sports
Sports rose to third with an impressive away win courtesy of goals from Ste Falvey and Kris Owen, captain Jordan Owen replying.
Prestatyn Wanderers 1-2 Llysfaen
Late goals from sub Steven Collins and Josh Roberts won this encounter for Llysfaen, Kelvin Berks having given Wanderers a 32nd minute lead.
Rhyl Albion 4-0 Llandudno Swifts
Keiran Kendrick was a hat-trick hero as Albion produced a great display to sweep aside second-place Swifts.
Former Caer Clwyd hitman Kendrick struck on 19, 31 and 59 minutes for the hosts, Sam Jones also on the mark with 27 gone.
Premier Division
Llandudno Junction 2-1 Rhuddlan Town
New leaders Junction edged a tight contest against Rhuddlan, Lloyd Hughes giving the hosts a 54th minute advantage before Town top-scorer Darius Woolridge levelled on 58, but Kieran Edwards delivered the winner after 72.
Llandyrnog United 0-3 Glan Conwy
Substitute Franky Gughrill made a big impression for Glan Conwy with goals on 58 and 60 minutes to set his side up for victory at Cae Nant.
Premier top marksman Lewis Brownson added a third on 62, making it three goals in four minutes that clinched the game for the visitors.
Llanfairfechan Town 0-4 CPD Y Glannau
Second-place Y Glannau continue to dazzle, a fifth win in seven league outings lifting them into the runners-up spot.
Net-finders Steven Kirk (2), Jake Reddaway and Dan Price clinched the points for the visitors, who have responded magnificently to the departure of last season’s 68-goal striker Harrison Bellis in the summer.
CPD Llansannan 2-3 Llandudno Amateurs
Superb result for the Amateurs, Kyle Johnson, Jack Kearney and Joe Jones their scorers, Jack Davies with 2 (1 penalty) for the hosts, who also missed a spot kick via Luke Appleby and had Robert Hurst red-carded on 38 minutes.
Meliden 2-1 CPD Bro Cernyw
Meliden’s first home game of the season was a happy affair as they edged the points over Bro Cernyw, Sion Jones putting the visitors in front before Callum Herd and Kai Wallis turned the tables with goals on 52 and 57 minutes for the Miners.
