Six league wins out of six for Airbus who after today’s victory at The Rock lead the table by – yes, you’ve guessed it – six points.
After dominating the early stages, the Wingmakers took an 18th minute lead when Sam Baker scored from a rebound after his first strike was brilliantly kept out by Lewis Dutton.
Jordan Evans’ corner was cleared off the line before Danny Warren’s goalbound header was blocked.
Ryan Edwards delivered a delightful pass into Evans, whose shot was saved superbly by Dutton.
It was a matter of time before Airbus added a second and it came on 28 minutes.
Evans delivered another cracking corner and Joe Palmer rose above everyone to head past Dutton.
Only more Dutton heroics and good home defending prevented Mark Allen’s side going in at half time with a bigger lead.
Just on the hour, Airbus extended their total when Warren added number three.
Some great pressure from Baker to win the ball back high up the pitch led to him playing a perfectly weighted pass into Warren, who took one touch and rifled in his seventh league goal of the campaign.
Another clinical performance from the table-toppers.
Mason Blackwell-Jones delivered a double as Bangor nudged up to joint second after a fourth victory in six games.
In the 16th minute the hosts took the lead. A neat through ball by Corrig McGonigle allowed Blackwell-Jones to break into the box and score with a powerful low finish.
With 10 minutes to go before half-time, Bangor doubled their advantage. A shot by Tom Mahoney broke to Harry Galeotti just inside the penalty area and the attacker found the net with a well-placed curling finish.
Five minutes later Galeotti’s volley was thwarted by a great Mike Jones save with his feet.
In first half injury time, Bangor added a third. Galeotti swung in a corner from the left that was punched clear by Jones. The ball arrived in front of Blackwell-Jones 20 yards out and he lobbed it back over Jones to score with a first time effort.
No further goals in the second half, Joe Culshaw, McGonigle and Mahoney all going close.
Bangor had the ball in the net again, but Craig Whelan’s header was disallowed as James Barry had hooked back across goal from an offside position.
Bradley Farrar made two late saves for Bangor, but apart from that the home side were dominant.
A Tommy Creamer special with the last kick of the game snatched a thrilling 2-1 bank holiday Monday victory for the Bay and ended Buckley’s unbeaten league record.
In an extraordinary finish at The Globe, Bucks had a player sent off, Bay took the lead through Rhys Nash, then lost it when Town converted an 88th minute penalty – only for Creamer to score the winner six minutes into added time.
In a goalless first half Sol Forde had a header from a corner saved by Buckley keeper Ryan Goldston, and from their best chance, Josh Carey sent Ethan Roberts’ cross over the bar.
It remained 0-0 until in the 83rd minute, the game exploded into life when Buckley had Callum Humphreys red carded for taking down Lloyd Marsh-Hughes, who would have been clear on goal – and just at a time when the hosts were turning up the pressure.
The Bay quickly took the lead on 84 minutes when Nash beat the keeper in the air to a rebound from his own shot following a fine cross by Ethan Roberts.
Buckley, however, were level four minutes later when a penalty awarded on the call of a linesman was converted by Danny Holland.
Goldston made a good save from Carey’s curling effort and It looked like victory had been snatched away, until Creamer’s sensational last-kick winner.
Joe Haycock’s double and a Callum Bromley single clinched the spoils for Guilsfield, visitors Ruthin replying through a Gwion Owen penalty.
Josh Astley handed the Bluebirds an 18th minute lead, but two goals close to half time from Jamie Breese and Morgan Murray edged the champions in front.
And Holywell sealed it in the 84th minute when Gareth Evans made it 3-1.
Damase Kiwanda marked his full debut for Mold in some style with a five-goal salvo in this dismantling of managerless Prestatyn.
The Congo-born midfielder, who briefly appeared for Bangor City in the 2019-20 season, but has been out of action for some time due to an ACL injury, played 24 minutes of Mold’s 1-0 defeat to Colwyn Bay on Friday, but when given his chance on Monday, he really excelled.
Kiwanda, who spent all of pre-season with Bala Town before signing for Alex, scored on 2 and 5 minutes before completing his hat-trick from the penalty spot affter 17.
To make matters worse for the Seasiders, captain James Stead was sent off for a second yellow.
Henry Nash made it 4-0 before half time and sub Aiden Farren added a fifth on 67 before Kiwanda added two more to make it an afternoon to remember.
A quick double success over Vale of Clwyd opponents has got Penrhyncoch’s season up and running.
After a dramatic 3-2 verdict at Ruthin on Friday, the Roosters saw off a Denbigh side which had whipped Gresford 5-1 three days earlier.
Ifan Burrell, Dion Phillips and a Ben Lockley own goal gave the hosts a commanding 3-0 advantage at the turnaround.
After the break Denbigh rallied, a Nathan Brown double (1 pen) making it five goals in two games for him and putting the visitors right back in it.
However, Cameron Allen’s 86th minute finish for Penrhyncoch settled it.
