Five straight wins during January have earned Airbus UK Broughton chief Mark Allen the JD Cymru North Manager of the Month award.
Jamie Breese of Holywell Town was named Cymru North Player of the Month, while the equivalent accolade for the Cymru Premier went to Connah’s Quay Nomads ace Rhys Hughes.
An impressive five wins from five games in January from Mark Allen’s side as the Wingmakers defeated Flint Mountain, Holyhead Hotspur, Gresford Athletic and Penrhyncoch in the league and saw off Holywell Town in the Welsh Blood Service League Cup.
Striker Jamie Breese continued his excellent form in front of goal for Holywell Town in January as the 34-year-old scored against Holyhead Hotspur, Ruthin Town and Gresford Athletic.
Breese now has 23 goals in all competitions this season, 18 in the Cymru North and leads the league charts for both goals and assists (13).
The champions once again showed their title credentials in January by taking maximum points from three games. Craig Harrison’s side conceded just once in victories over Bala Town, Colwyn Bay and Barry Town United.
With two goals and three assists for Connah’s Quay Nomads last month, Rhys Hughes made a telling contribution to their undefeated January with a 3-1 win over Barry Town United followed by a pair of 2-2 draws against Caernarfon Town and Colwyn Bay.
Hughes has netted 12 Cymru Premier goals this season, 13 in all competitions.
