History-making Caernarfon Town boss Richard Davies has won the league manager of the month award – for a fifth time.
Since taking over as permanent Canaries chief in April 2023, Davies has led the club to three successive top six Cymru Premier finishes, participation and victory in their first European adventure and, this season, a first-ever Welsh Cup success.
That 3-0 triumph over Flint Town United in the Welsh Cup Final on April 12 went a long way towards securing Davies the Cymru Premier Manager of the Month accolade for April 2026.
Davies has now collective the award on five occasions:
Last month was a highly memorable one for Town as they claimed two league victories either side of their JD Welsh Cup triumph without conceding a single goal. The Cofis ended their league season with impressive 2-0 victories over Colwyn Bay and Penybont.
And there was a double reason to celebrate for the club with midfielder Matty Jones landing the league’s Player of the Month.
A key part of Caernarfon’s success, Matty Jones played every minute of every game for his side in April as they claimed victories over Colwyn Bay and Penybont, keeping clean sheets in both and providing an assist, and he scored from a fantastic free kick in the Welsh Cup final.
Jones has also been nominated for the Cymru Premier Team of the Season 2025-26.
Mark Allen – Airbus UK Broughton
With promotion back to the JD Cymru Premier already confirmed, Airbus UK Broughton added to their tally of 93 league goals during the month as they ended the campaign with a 3-0 win over Holywell Town and a 3-1 victory over Llandudno – their two top-three rivals. Another fine season at the helm for Mark Allen, who also lifted the national WBS League Cup.
Max McGoona – Mold Alexandra
The on-loan Mold Alexandra teenager ended the season in fine form as he scored the deciding goals in both 2-1 victories over Newtown and Brickfield Rangers.
McGoona then scored his fourth and final goal of the campaign in the 3-1 win over Flint Mountain and contributed with an assist.
