Connah’s Quay Town 2 CPD Porthmadog 2

Gambia-born striker Pascal Gomez struck twice in three minutes late on to rescue a point for Connah’s Quay Town.

On both occasions Gomez, took advantage of assists by the vastly experienced former Bangor City, Rhyl and York City forward Jamie Reed to earn newly-promoted Town a share of the points.

Danny Brookwell had given Port a good start with an opener after only 14 minutes, assisted by Rhys Alun.

Five minutes into the second period the visitors doubled their score when Rhys Alun found the net, Tom Hilditch the chance supplier.

Port paid the price for failing to add to their tally with double marksman Gomez salvaging a draw for his team.

Jack Roberts of Connah’s Quay saw red on 86, but it was too late to have any influence on the game.

It was heading for a draw until that late spot-kick.

NFA had two players red-carded past the 90 minute mark.

Nantlle Vale 1 CPD Y Rhyl 1879 2

Last season Rhyl left Maes Dulyn empty-handed – but on Saturday it was a different story.

Goals from Jonny Bravo and Callum Parry clinched the Lilywhites three points.

Bravo broke the deadlock on seven minutes with a neat finish to the top-left corner following some fine work by Parry on the left of the 18 yard box.

The visitors remained dominant in the first half. A Parry attempt flashed past the right post following a great save by home keeper Oliver Rhys Jones.

In the 56th minute, a mix-up between Tom Kemp and goalkeeper Josh Cooke left the door open for Llion Griffiths to find an equaliser.

Rhyl upped their game and created a number of openings. With 73 minutes played it was Parry once again who would prove the difference, finding the back of the net following a great effort by Kemp.

CPD Pwllheli 0 St Asaph City 0

Ten-man Pwllheli held on for a home point following the 65th minute sending off of Marcus Banks.

Trearddur Bay 1 Llanrwst United 1

Substitute Les Davies scored with a great header 10 minutes into added time at the end of the 90 to secure Trearddur Bay their first point as an Ardal North West team.

Llanrwst, who have started the season very impressively, led from the 27th minute through the very much on-form Julian Williams.
