NORTH WALES COAST WEST LEAGUE

Bethesda Athletic will aim to make it three straight league wins in the North Wales Coast West Premier when they take on Llanystumdwy tonight (Monday, 7.30 pm at Treborth, near Bangor).

It will be a tough test, though, with Llan coming off a magnificent weekend giant-killing of Menai Bridge Tigers in the FAW Amateur Trophy.

Pesda, relegated from Ardal North West at the end of last season, whipped CPD Boded 8-0 on Saturday and before that edged a 1-0 verdict at Bontnewydd

REPORTS – SATURDAY, AUGUST 10

PREMIER DIVISION

Bethesda Athletic 8 CPD Boded 0

Not many would have expected this scoreline on Saturday with Boded having beaten Mochdre Sports and Llangefni Town in their opening two cup matches of the season.
However, the Anglesey side’s first league encounter as a Tier 4 outfit proved a very painful experience at the hands of Bethesda.
Tomos Hughes, Osian Hughes (2), Wisdom Janes, Noa Hughes, Cian Williams, Osian Pugh and Kyle Hartleb shared the goals for a rampant Athletic.

Bontnewydd 2 Talysarn Celts 2

Dylan Hughes’ 93rd minute leveller rescued a point for Talysarn away to promoted Bontnewydd.
Glyn Hughes-Thomas’ 18th strike handed Celts a half-time lead, but Sion Jones and captain Luke Phillips turned the tables for Bont with goals on 61 and 83 respectively.
Aaron Hughes missed a penalty for the visitors and it looked like their luck was out until Hughes saved the day in added time.

CPD Llanberis 2 Gwalchmai 2

Gethin Jones’ 94th minute equaliser earned Gwalchmai a share of the spoils at Ffordd Padarn.
Ian Williams and Tomos Saynor had put the Darans two-up before Marc Evans’ 76th minute penalty for the visitors was a prelude to that dramatic late leveller.

CPD Llannerchymedd 5 Glantraeth 4

A nine-goal thriller went the way of hosts Llannerchymedd.
New signing Tomos Williams (2), Arden Gisbourne, Cai Miller and Callum Roberts made up the five home goals, Steven Jones, Ifan Owen and Dylan Williams (2, 1 pen) replying.

CPD Mynydd Llandegai 4 CPD Pentraeth 1

Alwyn Roberts delivered a hat-trick in a fine Llandegai performance, Owen Ward also on the mark, while Macauley Lewis hit back for the travellers.

CPD Nefyn United 1 CPD Penrhyndeudraeth 4

Gwion Davies, Cedri Jones, Cian Pritchard and Tom Hughes all featured on the scoresheet in a tremendous victory on the road for Penrhyn.
Ifan Jones handed Nefyn a 10th minute lead, but eventually it all went wrong for the Penwaig.

DIVISION ONE

CPD Cefni 2 Bethesda Rovers 2

Luke Pumfrey and Dion Jones put Cefni two goals ahead inside 20 minutes, but Rovers fought back to claim a point, Jordan Pritchard and Louie Turner, with an equaliser on 84,on target.

Llangoed and District 6 CPD Gaerwen 1

Daniel Owen was the star turn for Llangoed with three goals in this emphatic derby victory.
A closer game was probably expected, but this was the Puffins’ day, Cameron Owen, Mo Inayat Hosany and Wayne Thomas the other home hitmen.
Gaerwen, who will have many better days than this over the season, scored just the once through Calum Thomas.

CPD Mountain Rangers 1 Caergybi 5

Jerome Sillence’s double put Caergybi in control before a hat-trick from the prolific Louis Chapman clinched an impressive 5-1 away success.
Dion Jones brought Rangers level at one stage in the opening half, but the visitors were 2-1 up at the interval.
