Champions Holywell could hardly have made a better start to the defence of their title as they hit outgunned Prestatyn for six at the Bartons North Wales Stadium.
Star of the show for the Wellmen was the ever-deadly Jamie Breese with a hat-trick.
Breese, 32, made it four goals in two games already this season for a club he joined in January 2024 and had such an influence on last term’s Cymru North title success, netting 17 times in 16 appearances.
The former Caernarfon Town hitman opened the home side’s account on Saturday in the 13th minute.
Morgan Murray picked up the ball and passed inside to Breese, who controlled and fired low into the bottom corner.
It was all Holywell and on 31 minutes they doubled their lead through a new signing.
Prestatyn attempted to clear, but the ball fell to Jake Roberts, who shot past keeper Robbie Williams.
The visitors tried to rally, new recruit Oli Buckley hitting a firm strike which Ryan Woods did well to save.
It was 2-0 at half time, but the hosts added a third in the 56th minute.
Beau Cornish was brought down in the box and Breese netted from the spot.
On 61, Breese completed his treble, bursting clear and slotting past the advancing keeper.
Birthday boy Morgan Murray made it five on 77, lashing in a great volley from the edge of the box.
And the scoring was completed on the 90. Isaac Goundrey fed a great ball to Danny Andrews, whose deft chip found the net.
New signing Owen Cordiner delivered a double which helped Mold manager Barry Owen get off to the ideal start.
Cordiner, who bagged 39 goals for Tier 4 champions Corwen last season, made a major impact on his second-tier bow for an Alex side which has lost prolific net-finders Danny Warren and Jake Roberts over the summer.
Cordiner broke through in the 20th minute when he tapped in via a Matthew Lewis assist.
Just two minutes later, Lewis was the provider again as Emmanuel Lawal made it two.
Mark Cadwallader hit back for Llandudno four minutes before the break to set up an interesting second half.
Mold had defender Dafydd Griffith dismissed for a second yellow on 74 minutes and the result was in double right up until the 90 when Cordiner benefited from a Ryan Coney assist for make it 3-1.
Max McLaughlin’s 86th minute finish clinched the points for Caersws.
The game’s other two goals came in first half added time, Rhys Hesden edging the visitors ahead before Joe Haycock equalised.
