Holywell lost their 100 percent record in game number eight but still remain unbeaten after Jamie Breese’s late equaliser secured a point against Rhyl 1879.
However, Johnny Haseldin’s men have been knocked off the Cymru North summit for now and replaced by Airbus, who possess a better goal difference.
Friday night’s battle at Bartons North Wales Stadium – where an attendance of 576 gathered – saw the Wellmen make a good start, visiting keeper Alex Swindell smartly denying both Ryan Edwards and Jake Cooke early on.
Breese missed by inches for the hosts before 1879 took a 29th minute lead, Jack Parry finding the net.
Edwards was again thwarted by Swindell before Ieuan Hewitt went close with a header, while Morgan Murray was not far away from making it 2-0 against his former club.
Craig Lindfield and Fabrizio Murtas threatened for the home side soon after the restart before Holywell were indebted to keeper John Danby for a great point blank save to foil Arthur Hancock.
Swindell blocked well at the feet of Lindfield before Town finally equalised in the 81st minute.
Cooke made a fine run before his deflected shot fell nicely for Breese to level with his 11th goal of the season, having netted in six successive games.
Breese hit the post and went near with another effort, but the Lilywhites held on for the draw.
Airbus are top of the Cymru North on goal difference after a 5-2 away whipping of Gresford this evening.
The Wingmakers led 3-0 at half time, a Louis Holden own goal on four minutes followed by a Joshua Stevenson finish after 41 and Mason Blackwell-Jones strike via a George Peers assist in added time.
Gresford pulled one back after 53 via Jake Roberts before Peers converted a penalty for his 11th goal of the campaign.
A second own goal from the unfortunate Holden made it 5-1 before Toby Gallagher-Keenan bagged a late consolation for the Colliers.
Underdogs Phoenix pushed Cefni hard all the way before finally going out on spot-kicks.
A fierce battle finished 0-0 after 90 minutes and successful pens from Ifan Mansoor, Sion Jones and Aled Williams edged the Anglesey hosts over the line.
A massive improvement from Penmaenmawr, who lost 8-0 at Cae Bob Parry in the league earlier this season.
Two first-half goals from Adam Hold were enough to send Prestatyn through to the next round of the league cup.
Hold struck on 35 and then 40 minutes, the second via an Ellis Blench assist.
Mynydd Isa gave it their all and pulled one back through former Prestatyn player, sub Cayden Hazeldine, after 65 minutes, but that was the end of the scoring.
