Leaders Mochdre made it a magnificent seven straight wins with a hard-fought triumph over Brymbo at Swan Road on Saturday.
Joe Chaplin’s side hold a 29-point lead after beating a team currently second and expected to be among the title challengers this season by 21 runs.
Mochdre were put into bat and found themselves in trouble at 56-5 before recovering to set a final total of 166-9 off a reduced 47 overs.
Adam Campion did best with 36, but no other batsman managed to get to 20 although six others managed double figures.
Adam De Rycke picked up 3-40 for the visitors, Mohamed Nilam Jayman 2-15 and Chris Taylor 2-28.
In reply, the Steelmen were 70-4 before all-rounder Jason Underwood gave them hope with a fine and patient half-century, but despite some late runs the South African went for 51 and the Wrexham area side finished 145 all out.
Matty Humphreys took an excellent 3-12 off 6.4 overs, Stewart Williams 2-27, Marcus Mangiameli 2-29 and Campion 2-42.
Skipper Chaplin and Owen Davies also produced important economical spells.

Tudno coasted to 111-2 off 19.3 overs, Sam Rimmington (43 not out) and Divya Pratap Singh (22 not out) the top scorers in a welcome 14-1 success which lifts the Seasiders off the bottom.
Wicket-keeper Cian Williams’ first team career best 90 helped guide Bangor to a convincing victory at Gwersyllt.
The Citizens won the toss and batted, amassing a challenging score of 213-4 off an innings cut to 40 overs due to rain.
Williams and Sion Evans put on 56 for the first wicket before the WK went on to add 87 with Nadeem Rehman.
After Williams departed for 90 – his knock including eight fours and two sixes – Rehman went with 30 to his name, leaving the visitors 155-3.
Franco Kasner then put Bangor in command when he smashed 53 not out off just 25 deliveries, clattering six sixes. He and Owen Reilly added an unbroken 53 for the fifth wicket.
In response, Park could only muster 147-7 off their 40. At one stage they were 61-7 before Alfie Lythgoe (51 not out off 41 balls) and Iroshan De Silva (34 no) concocted an entertaining and undefeated partnership of 86 for the eighth wicket.
Smit Parekh starred with the ball for the away side, snapping up 4-13 off eight.
James Du Toit’s impressive 81 not out inspired Denbigh to a crushing nine-wicket victory at Tyn-y-Caeau Drive.
Bridge called the coin correctly and opted to bat in a match reduced to 35 overs per side because of the wet weather.
The Anglesey side could only chalk up a modest 128-8, openers Jack Gower and Arwel Thomas posting 25 and 22 respectively.
Sam Lewis bagged 3-28, Joe Lewis 2-15 and Harrison Jones 2-17 for a well-drilled Denbigh attack.

St Asaph will feel aggrieved rain ruined their hopes of victory at Flint Road after the champions had dismissed Northop for just 87.
Dan Evans pocketed 4-12 and Ryan Dunning 3-15, Asaph having been asked to field first.
However, with the weather as it was, the visitors’ reply never got started. Three points each was an outcome which did neither side much good.
