Which North Wales footballer reached 200 senior career goals tonight?

Which North Wales footballer reached 200 confirmed senior goals tonight?

It was Jamie McDaid, who passed the milestone with the fourth of his five strikes for Menai Bridge Tigers in a 10-0 FAW Amateur Trophy demolition of Deiniolen.

McDaid, 32, is in his third season with the Tigers, having bagged 29 goals in as many games last term as the islanders narrowly missed out on promotion to Tier 3.

Grassroots North Wales emphasises McDaid has scored 200 ‘confirmed’ goals, as while we have most of his career stats, we are not 100 percent sure we’ve got them all, but we have recorded a double century for the player from his appearances dating back to 2010-11.

According to our records, he began the current season on 196.

Here is a rundown of his career goals club-by-club

  • Llanrug United 54
  • Menai Bridge Tigers 39
  • Caernarfon Town 29
  • Porthmadog 26
  • Holywell Town 16
  • Bangor City 19 (First team 5, reserves 14)
  • Llanberis 9
  • Holyhead Hotspur 8
  • Aberystwyth Town 1

GOALS 201 (UP TO JULY 31, 2026)

McDaid’s finest season was 2023-24, when he knocked in 54 goals in 30 matches across all competitions for Llanrug United.

In the Tier 4 North Wales Coast West Premier Division, McDaid finished top of the  scorers chart with 47 goals in 24 appearances, even managing to end up ahead of Trearddur Bay net-finder supreme Asa Thomas.

He was third-highest scorer in the same division last season, this time finishing behind Thomas of CPD Boded and Nefyn United’s Tomi Jones-Evans.

Congratulations Jamie – 200 and counting!
