With seven wins in eight matches over a backbreaking 28-day schedule, Trearddur Bay are the Grassroots North Wales Club of the Month for May 2024.
Somewhat surprisingly, in view of their outstanding achievements of the past two seasons, this is the first time Bay has picked up the award.
They have been included among the close contenders many times, though.
The Beach Boys’ only defeat during the month came in the Cwpan Snowdonia Fire and Security Cup semi-final against eventual competition winners Llanberis.
Otherwise, they won five out of five in the league, ensuring they scooped the North Wales Coast West Premier Division title by a huge 16 point margin, and edged a 4-3 thriller against Menai Bridge Tigers in the aforementioned Premier Division Cup.
Bay have now gone unbeaten in league matches for two seasons on the bounce – a total of 54 matches comprising 49 wins and 5 draws.

That was the third T2 Cymru North side Mountain had beaten in the competition.
Flint also reached the Ardal Northern League Cup final where they lost 2-1 to Holyhead Hotspur.
They also went down 2-0 at CPD Y Felinheli, who preserved their Tier 3 status in the process.
Stunning season for Aden Shannon’s side, also reaching the Welsh Cup quarter-finals.

Four wins in five during May ensured Felinheii survived in the Ardal North West League against the odds.
Their 2-0 defeat of champions Flint Mountain to stay up was particularly impressive.
Felin’s great escape was a fitting tribute to their manager Euron Davies, who sadly passed away during the month aged just 46.
Six wins out of six in May saw Bont clinch the double of North Wales Coast West Division One title and league cup.
A magnificent season for Simon Jones’ Caernarfon-area braves.
