Exciting news for Bangor 1876 – they are looking to create an under-21s team for the upcoming 2024/25 season!

It is the latest project designed to help this ambitious and well-supported club progresss.

The club was formed in 2019 with the aim of protecting the future of football in the city.

Since then they have gained three promotions and earned a highly impressive fifth place finish in their debut season at Tier 2 Cymru North level.

In 2019-20, 1876 were crowned Gwynedd League champions with a 100% record, then 2021-22 saw them land promotion from the North Wales Coast West Premier Division to Tier 3 Ardal North West. They also lifted the 2021-22 Premier Division Cup.

The 2022-23 campaign brought more success as Bangor finished as Ardal North West runners-up at the first attempt and won the promotion play-off final to reach the Cymru North.

The fan-owned club play their home matches at Nantporth Stadium, where they are aiming to secure a long-term tenure.

Now they are looking to build further for the future by starting an under-21 side.
