It’s all happening at Rhos United Football Club!

The current North Wales football season is not quite all over, but planning for the next one is already well underway for Rhos United.
The Tier 5 North Wales Coast East Division One club have announced four new signings this week, a number of player retentions and plans to start a women’s team!
Goalkeeper Richard Hillier-Evans, Richard Hill and Adam Williams have all joined Rhos from this season’s East Division One champions Bow FC, while Arron Querci switches from Abergele to Brookfield Drive..
Hillier-Evans, 28, was with Bow from the start in 2022-23 and made close on 70 appearances for the club. He was twice a Golden Glove winner within the league.
Nicknamed the Pink Panther because of his colourful kit, he is also panther-like in his ability to make spectacular saves.
Rhos striker and former player-manager Bret Durkan said of the keeper: “Rich Hillier not only brings leadership traits, but also the winning mentality all clubs crave. We know having Rich at the club will bring demand and organisation from the back.”

Striker Williams, 22, signed for Bow last season and made 23 appearances for the club across the first and development teams, netting 12 goals.
Durkan added: “Adam will bring not only pace and agility and youth in the attack for Rhos but also intelligence as he is very comfortable with the ball at his feet and has a fantastic eye for goal.”

Hill, 34, is an experienced campaigner who has played for Prestatyn Town, Rhyl Dragons and Kinmel Bay as well as Bow, where he scored on debut and converted a spot-kick in a Welsh Cup shootout victory over Betws-y-Coed.
Nicknamed ‘Giggs’, he made 55 appearances across the first and development teams at Bow, scoring nine goals.
Hill said: “After hearing the plans and targets for the upcoming season, I’m really looking forward to another challenge.
“Rhos has always been a well-drilled team and a difficult team to play against to take points away from them, so I’m really looking forward to hopefully helping them achieve what they deserve.
“Looking to change the type of football I’ve been playing, going back to how I used to play being more of a threat up the pitch with assists and goals so I’m hoping I can add that this season for Rhos.
“I can’t wait to get the season underway and hopefully get some more silverware this season.”

Defender Querci, 28, has played for a number of local sides, including Rhyl Dragons, Kinmel Bay, Bow, Meliden and Abergele, to where he moved in October 2023.
He said: “After hearing what Rhos are planning for the season ahead and hearing who will be joining it was a no-brainer. I’m looking forward to playing this season with some of my close mates.
“Rhos have great targets and ambitions and that’s what I have too.
“
I’d also like to thank Abergele for last season for making me feel welcome and I wish them all the best for next season.”
This week, the following players announced they are staying at Rhos for the 2024-25 season – Tom Brady, Chris King, Adam Noble, Jordan Dixon, Tom Edgley, Billy Bibby, Bret Durkan, Stephen Bibby, Scott Court and Phemmy Allison.
