It’s Felinheli versus Llandudno in the NWCFA Women’s Challenge Cup final!

CPDM Y Felinheli celebrate winning the NWCFA Women’s Challenge Cup last season

CPDM Y Felinheli will meet Llandudno in the NWCFA Women’s Challenge Cup Final for a second year running.

Felin’s semi-final against CPD Y Rhyl 1879 scheduled for tomorrow has been called off as the Lilywhites are unable to raise a team.

Rhyl say they were given one date option for the tie, postponed from last Wednesday, and could not fulfill it.

Felinheli report they have now been automatically put through to meet Genero Adran North champions Llandudno in the final. Tudno beat Llanystumdwy 7-0 in last week’s other semi.

According to the North Wales Coast FA website, the date and venue for the 2023-24 final is Sunday 28 April 2024 at Bastion Gardens, Prestatyn Town FC, kick-off 2pm

In last season’s final, Felin beat Tudno 3-2, Ffion Williams scoring a double.

This season’s Tier 2 Genero Adran North League campaign saw Felin finish third in the table with Llandudno crowned champions.

In league meetings between the pair, Llandudno won 7-2 and 4-3 – the latter a dramatic victory which secured them the title.

Llandudno also have a Genero Adran Premier play-off final to come against Briton Ferry Llansawel next weekend. Victory for the Seasiders will mean a return to the top-flight. After initially being refused a Toer 1 licence, Llandudno won an appeal.
