Meet the East champions: Flint Town United women

Meet the Flint Town United squad which won the North Wales Women’s League East Division title this season with a perfect record.
Played 12, Won 12, Scored 66, Conceded 10 is an awesome set of stats by any standard.
Considering this is just their second season as a team, to win a league championship in such a manner really is top class.
Here are the players who did it.
Becky Bott

Unfortunately picked up a broken finger late in the season, but played in 10 league games and conceded just seven goals, keeping a magnificent six clean sheets. Highly rated keeper who has come on in leaps and bounds. Hopefully might return for the end of season play-off.
Chloe Hughes

An ever-present in the league, Chloe is another model of consistency who operates efficiently at the back. Sells great houses and works for a top-class estate agent.
Taylia Chaloner

A really consistent defender who has played in 13 matches across league and cup, also chipping in with a couple of goals in the Betty Pickering. She typifies the great Flint spirit.
Emily Edwards

Former Holywell defender who has shone so brightly at the back for the Silkwomen this season. Has put in a series of outstanding performances.
Charlotte Walters

Tall, solid defender who has done as much as anyone to ensure Flint let in just 10 goals in 12 league games. Featured in nine league and three cup matches.
Ruby McGilloway

In the midfield with Rosie Hughes she is an awesome competitor who never stops running or giving 100 percent for the team. Seven goals in 16 matches for the skipper who leads by example.
Daisy Hughes

Eight goals for the number 7 – so that’s Daisy, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy! One of three sisters in the team and another highly-rated talent.
Ruby Hastings

Dazzling, super-quick attacker who has contributed a number of vital goals to the team. Just 17, she has played in all 12 league fixtures and scored six times in 16 matches in all.
Zoe Stopford

One of the signings of the season in North Wales football. Has netted 23 goals in 15 outings across all competitions for the club she joined from NFA last summer.
Rosie Hughes

Another amazing season for the young star everyone talks about most. Her pace and sublime goals have been a key feature of Flint’s success. Has scored 12 league goals in 12 games and 17 over the campaign.
Jennifer Haynes

Class from word go. Tremendous attacking midfielder who has played in every league game, scoring five goals and providing six assists. Notched first official hat-trick for the team in 11-2 drubbing of Denbigh.
Tegan Crockett

What a signing! Joined at the start of the season from Rhyl and netted in each of her first seven games, amassing 12 goals in that spell, including two hat-tricks. Scored one of the goals of the season in the final league game v Northop Hall – a stunning volley.
Jasmine Edwards

Exciting forward player who has scored five goals in 12 games this season in all competitions. Mainly used as an impact substitute and has been very effective.
Sinead Beck

Played nine times this season, mainly as an outfield player, but showed her versatility by taking the gloves in recent matches after regular keeper Becky Bott sustained a broken finger and did a great job between the sticks.
Charlotte Xena Rose

A great clubperson. Six substitute appearances, most of them towards the end of the season in the final push for the title.
Erin Heathcote
