Phoenix roared to top spot in the Premier Division with a six-goal show in a match switched from Rhuddlan to Cae Sling.
A heavy downpour of rain just before the start of the game made a soft pitch at Penmaenmawr even softer.
Rhuddlan started the better, playing a direct ball over the defence for Ellis Trubshaw to run onto and calmly finish in the 12th minute.
Pen picked themselves up and began to assert. In the 20th minute, midfielder Darren Evans found himself through on goal, his attempt beat Rhuddlan keeper Mackenzie Collier, but pitch conditions slowed the ball down for it to stop on the line and then be cleared by a Town defender.
Phoenix pressure paid off in the 24th minute when defender Mike Williams finished from eight yards out from a Jamie Jones cross.
Alfie Caldecott made it 2-1 to the hosts in the 31st minute when Lee Stokes beat the full back and delivered into the box.
Stokes got on the scoresheet himself one minute later, benefiting from a Daniel Williams through ball.
Jamie Jones made it 4-1 in the 44th minute, again some good play from Daniel Williams teeing him up.
Half-time: 4-1.
The second half began in the same fashion with Penmaenmawr dominating the play.
In the 50th minute the whole home team bench entered the play at once. A debut for James Hobson almost saw the midfielder score with his first touch, an effort from the edge of the area sailing over the crossbar
Stokes made it 5-1 in the 85th minute.and Mike Williams added his second on 88 to finish off a good afternoon for the Phoenix against a resilient Rhuddlan.
