Once they worked out how best to play the difficult conditions at Lon Isallt, Trearddur Bay grabbed control and cruised into the next round of the Premier Division cup
The game started slowly as both teams found it hard to get to grips with the strong wind sweeping across the pitch.
However, after a period of adjustment, Bay began to create a host of chances, Justin Williams opening the scoring with a neat finish from an Asa Thomas assist on 34 minutes.
Ten minutes later a whipped in cross from Dan McGinness found its way through to Thomas, who clinically hit the target and made it 2-0 at half time.
The second half saw Trearddur kicking into the wind and play was now becoming one-sided as the hosts pressed for more goals.
In the 55th minute, a corner was cleared by the Llan defence.
Callum Mcminimee delivered out wide to Jay Gibbs who crossed in to an advancing Dan McGinness and he turned the ball home with a superb outside of the boot flick that beat goalkeeper Tomos Jones and nestled in the back of the net.
Play became a lot more relaxed from the hosts and chances created by the visitors were being dealt with comfortably by debutant 16 year old keeper Ellis Griffiths, playing with confidence above his young age.
In the 76th minute Myles Jones finished perfectly with a deftly-placed finish after being released by Gibbs.
A fifth goal was added when a well-worked move saw Casey Gregg produce a great cross into a dangerous area that caught out defender Dominic Howarth, who turned into his own goal.
Peter Mansoor and Dion Owen (penalty) delivered the first-half goals that were enough to send Llanberis into the next stage.
Ywain McQuire-Jones pulled one back for Berffro in the second half, but that was a good as it got for the hosts, who had Clark Thomas dismissed for a second yellow on 85 minutes.
Kaine Bentley notched up another stunning hat-trick to move onto 27 goals this season for a Gwalchmai side which proved too good for a strong Nefyn outfit at Maes Meurig.
Bentley netted on 17 and 45 minutes in a first half which also featured a goal from Gwalch’s Sam Jones, Tomi Evans replying for the Penwaig.
Connor Owen made it 4-1 on 49 minutes before Bentley completed his treble after 85.
Both sides had a player red-carded in stoppage time, Cian Owen for Gwalchmai and Josh Piper for Nefyn.
Master marksmen Kevin Lloyd (2), Jon Sadler and Jamie McDaid all appeared on the scoresheet as Llanrug swept aside Cemaes Bay.
Mathew Roberts nabbed a late consolation reply for the Anglesey side.
Harry Morgan Jones, Paul Rowlands and Sion Hogan scored one apiece as Tigers advanced at the expense of derby rivals Pentraeth.
Tomos Hughes plundered a deciding goal five minutes into added time to secure Glantraeth’s passage into the last eight.
Andy Clarke nudged Glan ahead after six minutes at Penrhiw, but Steven Tindall made it all-square before half time.
Penalties were looming until Iwan Sawicz set up sub Hughes for the winner.
League leaders Bontnewydd kept their cup progress on the boil with victory at Millbank, Ieuan Parry, Aled Hughes and Alex Kalafusz supplying their three goals inside the opening 20 minutes.
Caergybi managed to stem the tide, but could only find one reply, via Jordan Rowlands from a Louis Chapman assist on 63 minutes.
Top-scorer Dion Jones was on target twice in a convincing win for Cefni.
Dylan Griffith struck first on 11 minutes before Jones opened his account after 31.
Aled Rice hit back for Rangers after 36, but Gruff Huws soon made it 3-1 and before half time Nathan Lewis had also converted a penalty for the home team.
Jones added his second and 12th of the season in the latter stages.
Penalties have been kind and cruel to Llanfairpwll in their many cup advantures this season.
On Saturday it was the latter as Holyhead knocked them out of the Division One Cup in a shoot-out.
Ruthless from Boded – Jordan Edney (2), Cian Owen (2, 1 pen) and Shaun Jenkins split the goals in an away demolition of fellow league high-flyers Llanystumdwy.
All this after Owen Pritchard had scored first for the home side on 13 minutes.
Kieran Owen was shown a second yellow for Boded four minutes from time.
