Snooker’s biggest stars set for opening day at Welsh Open in Llandudno

The world’s top 16 players will all be in action on the opening day of the BetVictor Welsh Open in Llandudno this month, with the fixtures now confirmed.

The tournament runs from February 12 to 18 at Venue Cymru on the beautiful North Wales coast.

Robert Milkins lifted the trophy last year after beating Shaun Murphy 9-7 in a dramatic final.

Milkins starts the defence of his title in the opening session of the tournament at 9.30am on Monday February 12th against Jamie Jones.

All-time greats in action on the same day will include Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Luca Brecel, Mark Allen, John Higgins, Mark Selby, Shaun Murphy, Neil Robertson and Welsh favourite Mark Williams.

In all there will be over 80 players in the field, with the full line up to be announced after the completion of this week’s qualifying round.

The Welsh Open is one of snooker’s most historic tournaments, as the longest-running ranking event other than the UK Championship and World Championship.

Part of the BetVictor Home Nations Series, the event will be televised by BBC Wales, Eurosport, discovery+, CCTV5, Matchroom Live and a range of other broadcasters worldwide.
